The evolutionary significance of technical terminological semiosis is noted: the emergence of more and more classes of technical terms contributes to the replenishment of the terminology fund of the national language and the language of science as a whole. The process of terminological actualization is determined, which is a cognitive-derivational activity to create a term; the plurality of interpretation of the concept \"term\" as a means of verbalizing technical knowledge is considered.
