The compensator can synthetically suppress multi-bus unbalanced voltages by installing only one unit on a single bus. A general model to calculate compensator output compensation currents is introduced. A detailed solution based on a genetic algorithm (GA) for the general model is presented. An effective way based on the artificial neural network (ANN) to satisfy fast response of the compensator is also proposed with dynamic and random unbalanced voltages of the network buses.
