Ship Detection Method Based on Frequency Enhanced MSER For High Resolution SAR Image
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ship detection is an important part of marine monitoring. With the development of SAR, traditional constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detectors suffer from multiscale situation. To solve this problem and achieve better performs, a ship detection method based on frequency enhanced MSER for high resolution SAR image is proposed in this paper. First, a frequency saliency method is used to enhance the contrast between ship targets and sea background. Then, candidate regions are proposed by the MSER method. Finally, generalized Gamma distribution ( GΓD ) is utilized to complete precise detection results. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
