About repetition as the basis of playing the Morin Khuur

Playing this instrument has its own unique characteristics, and a repeating pattern occupies an important place in its composition. It is created in different ways depending on the artist's environment, way of thinking and circumstances. Thus, the repeating pattern is the most important factor in the expression of human nature. Minimal features are manifested in the repetitive form of Mongolian traditional decorative art and music. Repetition in music is based on the principles of nonlinearity of large and small things, which are defined by the concept of fractal. Repetition is one of the main foundations of the artistic thinking of the Mongolian nomads. Some techniques are analyzed within the framework of 11 techniques of musical repetition in minimalism. This approach is consistent with the structure of the Mongolian traditional melody, which can also be interpreted within the framework of a fractal.
