Sampled-data modelling of switched circuits, revisited
A re-examination of the basis for applying sampled-data models to obtain transfer functions is undertaken. A general procedure is given to construct difference equations which can be used to more accurately determine input-to-output transfer functions. Improved accuracy is obtained by minimizing the effect of aliasing. Problems associated with using sampled-data models alone in obtaining frequency responses are discussed. The improved sampled-data model is recommended for use in conjunction with other techniques in determining exact small-signal input-to-output frequency responses.<>
