Health care organizations are confronting significant challenges as they make efforts to improve ethical leadership behavior. Aim : this study aimed at investigating the relationship between ethical leadership behavior and organizational cronyism among staff nurses. Research design : a descriptive correlational study design was used. Setting: the study was conducted at obstetrics and gynecological hospital affiliated to ain-shams university hospitals. Subjects : the study subjects include 163 staff nurses. Tools of data collection: ethical leadership behavior questionnaire and organizational cronyism scale were used to collect data for this study. Results: slightly less than three quarters (74.84%) of studied staff nurses had moderate perception level regarding ethical leadership behavior and less than three quarters (72.39%) of studied staff nurses had moderate organizational cronyism level. Conclusion: there was a negative correlation between ethical leadership behavior and organizational cronyism among staff nurses. Recommendations : health care organizations have to ensure ethical leadership behavior and map out strategies to create a supportive work environment.
