Firstly, it builds an inventory management model that demands subject to Poisson distribution, ordering lead time as a constant and based on the (s, S) and (R, Q) policies. And then it determines the basic parameters of the inventory. Lastly, it develops a management information system (MIS) for the department, and makes the MIS have simulation capabilities through applying the technologies of time accelerator and triggers.
