Analysis and forecast of taxi transport capacity in railway station: A case of Beijing West Railway Station

The important transportation hubs of the city, such as railway station, airport, etc., have a large number of passengers every day, which brings strong power to the development of the city. Therefore, the passenger connection of these important transportation hubs is particularly momentous. If the dispatching effect of the connection capacity is not good, it will lead to abundant passengers staying and gathering, and bring pressure to the urban traffic of the transportation hub and its surrounding areas. Taking Beijing West Railway Station as an example, this study explores the connection rules of traditional taxis and on-line car hailing, and forecasts the passenger demand by using the operation rules of traditional taxis and on-line car hailing, so as to provide a reference for the timely scheduling of traditional taxis and on-line car hailing in Beijing West Railway Station, which plays a significant role in the urban traffic management of Beijing.
