An Insight on IoT Architecture and its Applications

The term “Internet of Things” (IoT) refers to connecting things or objects physically to the Internet with intelligence. In the past decades, people were connected to Internet; whereas in the trending digital era, object or things are connected to Internet for better communication and ease of use. The exchange of information leads to the innovative access to physical world, thereby transforming into digital world. The paper focuses on importance of IoT features and state-of-the-art applications through IT. The generic data flow in IoT is discussed. The major areas of IoT applications are not limited to the following: smart have, smart wears, smart grids, Industrial IoT(IIoT), smart city, smart retails, smart health care, smart farming, smart supply chain management, smart connected vehicles and things.
