WLAN is most commonly used wireless distribution standard for short distance network communication. This paper presented a high-gain, single band compact monopole antenna is printed on FR-4 substrate and has dimensions of 30*25*1.5 mm3 with a partial ground plane. The proposed compact monopole antenna design covers 2.4 GHz frequency range with the return loss of -20 dB. The gain of the designed antenna is 7.13 dB. The simulation has been done through CST Microwave studio.
