It has been very popular among traditional Chinese medicine for a very long time. It's a parasitic plant possessing a wide array of folkloric activities like anti-aging, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, anti-osteoporosis, anticancer, hepatoprotective, etc .from the study done; it suggests that antioxidants and antiinflammatory constituents are mainly responsible for its pharmacological actions. This review is based on the literature available from 2015 to 2021. Data was collected from journals, books, and the internet [Wikipedia, Google scholar, pinned, science direct and other publications], literature abstracts and full text articles were analyzed and compiled. The present data offers primary information for future studies on Cuscuta chinensis.
