Muslim globalization has become a key characteristic of this transformation. This general trend set the framework within which the fol- lowing processes developed, which predetermined not only the change in the institutional and political characteristics of local Islam, but also the nature of state-Islamic relations in Dagestan. These processes were expressed in the fol- lowing: internationalization of Dagestani Islam, which developed in the form of active international contacts of local Muslims; the emergence of network forms of international between believing youth; the transformation of the “fight against terrorism” into an element of the political and civil life of the Republic. The indicated dynamics has led to the fact that a multi-subject system of the politicization of Islam has developed in the republic.
