In this kind of business it is especially important to ensure that both the components and the co-operation partners are trustworthy. One method of component trust management is to include in the software architecture functions that take care of loading and updating the components, and monitor their trustworthy operation. We introduce a novel trust management framework for the middleware layer and demonstrate its functionality using embedded software components.
