Insecurity Perceiver on Android

The perception of insecurity is one of the most complex dimensions of security. Information from insecurity and victimization surveys have a central role in formulating policies against insecurity. This paper presents the development and implementation of the Insecurity Perceiver application on Android. During the document, the architecture and technologies used to build the application are described. This app allows users to register their perception of insecurity on a scale of 1 to 5 by adding their geographical position. With the users’ records, the Insecurity Perceiver shows a map with all the data generated, giving an overview of the danger perceived by users in a geographical area.
