Characteristics of a 40-GHz All-Optical Switch Using Cascaded Nonlinearities in a Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate Waveguide
We investigate characteristics of a PPLN-based all-optical switch through switching experiments considering the temporal widths of the input pulses and those optical noises. A stable and efficient 40-GHz switching is demonstrated using a 30-mm-long waveguide.
