An Information System for Livestock and Pasture Surveillance

There are numerous experiments and systems dedicated to the surveillance of farm animals or pastures. However, many of them are concentrated on only one problem at a time - livestock health, animal movement, pastures classifications, animal predictions, etc. The systems that give solution to some of the problems are few and even they do not cover all of the aspects at once. The proposed information system is a combination of hardware and software components that enables the users, more precisely farmers and vets, to track the whole process of livestock farming. This paper explains the design and development of the software part of the system.
