A complete network slice can be virtualized with the use of a network service. Virtual network functions (vnfs) of a network service can be deployed with the use of OpenStack, which is an open source cloud computing platform. In OpenStack, all the vnfs of a network service can be deployed in one compute node or in different compute nodes. In this present work, we derive closed form expression to analyze the availability of network service considering the deployment of vnfs of a network service in one and different compute nodes. In the availability analysis, we consider the failure perspective of compute node(s).
