However, vocational colleges are lack of relevant experimental equipment, which affects the design and production of skills competition entry. In order to solve the problem that students can not test the mechanical properties of the entry, this paper proposes a solution based on simulation technology. The finite element model is established and simulated on a computer. The result of the simulation is 14.67 μm, which shows that the design meets the requirements. In order to ensure the safety of the entry, the simulation result is verified by calculus calculation. The result of the integral calculation is 14.69 μm, which is very close to the simulation result (14.67 μm). The relative error of the two is only 0.14%. These works not only solved the students’ doubts, but also provided data to support the specifications of their entry. The students participated in the problem solving process and their comprehensive ability is significantly improved. The application of finite element technology can shorten the production time of the entries and save the cost of experimental testing.
