Reducing Electricity Theft by Low Frequency Control Scheme in Bangladesh
Electricity theft is a common issue from the beginning of electricity generation and irreparable losses for the whole country. The most common and simplest methods of stealing electricity is tapping or hooking electricity directly from the distribution line. This paper presents an advanced protection method to protect the electricity theft directly from the distribution line. On the distribution side, the system converts the frequency of electricity into 6Hz to 7Hz range, and in the consumer end, it again converts the frequency into 50Hz by using an authorized meter. This method is totally completed by frequency variation in the distribution line which reduces the maximum electricity theft occurs in the distribution side of Bangladesh.
