While a standard treatment for RIBP is yet to be established, management consists mostly of symptom management through the use of medications and physical therapy. There is a lack of evidence regarding the efficacy of surgical treatment. Omentoplasties and other vascularized flaps are commonly discussed options for eliminating neuropathic pain associated with RIBP. However, these approaches show no meaningful improvement in motor function. While limited, current literature suggests that nerve transfers may be an option for relief of neuropathic pain as well as restoration of motor function.
