Morita, T.Sakamoto","doi":"10.1384/jsa.29.204","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1384/jsa.29.204","url":null,"abstract":"大気環境中には目に見えないサイズの微小粒子が多数浮遊している.このような大気中に浮遊する微小な 固体や液体の粒子は,エアロゾルと呼ばれている.エアロゾルの発生源には,花粉や黄砂などの自然起源の ものや,ブレーキダストや鉄道磨耗粉塵などの人為起源の発生源がある.さらに,自然起源の粒子が,人為 的な要因により,形状や成分が変わることもある[1.2].また,近年では東アジアの経済発展に伴い,工業地 帯から大量のエアロゾルが排出されており,大気汚染の要因となっている[3.4].現在のところ,このような 様々な発生起源をもつエアロゾルの化学分析には,バルク分析が主流となっている.バルク分析は,定量的 なデータを高い確度で得ることが可能である.しかしながら,バルク分析は捕集された粒子群の平均化学組 成しか把握することができず,特定のタイプの粒子について発生源の特定や化学組成,浮遊履歴などの解析 は原理的に難しい[5].一方,エアロゾルによる気候変動や健康影響の観点では特定の粒子の大気中の個数変 動データが必要であると考えられる. 当研究室では,エアロゾルの個別粒子解析が可能な集束イオンビーム飛行時間型二次イオン質量分析法 (Focused Ion Beam Time-of-flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry: FIB-TOF-SIMS)を独自に開発し,個別粒 子の表面構造から内部構造までの成分分布の解析を行ってきた[6].こうした個別粒子の詳細な情報は粒子 の発生・変性メカニズムや健康影響を知るうえで新しい情報を与えてきた.一方で,ある環境場におけるエ アロゾル集団の情報を得るためには,1サンプルにつき,数 100 以上の個別粒子データに基づく統計的に有 意な組成データが必要である.しかしながら,TOF-SIMS では,成分マッピングの視野内に数 10 個程度の 粒子がある状態でイメージングおよびデータ処理をしたとしても,数 10 回のマッピングを行わなければな らないため,現実的とは言えない. 我々のこれまでの経験から,粒子の成分(起源)と粒子の形状にはある程度の相関があることがわかって きた.そこで,本研究では粒子の形状と成分(起源)の相関に着目し,走査電子顕微鏡(Scanning Electron Microscope: SEM)画像を取得後,画像解析ソフト(ImageJ)およびクラスター解析ソフト(R言語)を用い て,一定期間における特定粒子の個数変動および形状の評価を行った.この方法を用いれば,迅速に多数粒 子のなかからタイプ別個数をカウントできるため,一種のバルク的情報が得られるほか,発生源別の粒子数 やその変動を比較的容易に得ることができると考えられる.本発表では SEM 画像を用いた微粒子の形状分 類によるタイプ別粒子カウント方法のコンセプトを提案する.
