Using 3D printing technology, molds were created to simulate the repositioning of otoliths within these canals. These molds were then integrated into a wearable headgear device that allows for real-time simulation and demonstration of the movement trajectories of otoliths during repositioning.Results: Demonstrations with the molds confirmed that repositioning of otoliths could be effectively achieved simultaneously in both canals.Conclusion: The repositioning method effectively addresses the simultaneous repositioning of dislodged otoliths in the posterior and horizontal canals on a single side. This method facilitates otolith repositioning in all four semicircular canals, whether performed on the left or right side.","PeriodicalId":74678,"journal":{"name":"Research in health science","volume":"21 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141925717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effective rehabilitation methods are crucial for restoring knee joint function. Surface electromyography (sEMG), a technology for monitoring muscle activity, has seen widespread use in rehabilitation medicine in recent years. This study aims to explore the application of sEMG in knee joint sports injury rehabilitation, particularly its role in rehabilitation assessment, training effect monitoring, and the development of personalized rehabilitation plans. By reviewing the basic principles of sEMG and its signal characteristics and combining them with the rehabilitation goals and strategies for knee joint injuries, this paper analyzes practical applications and outcomes of sEMG in rehabilitation. The study indicates that sEMG can effectively evaluate knee joint function and muscle activity, monitor rehabilitation training in real-time, and support the creation of personalized rehabilitation plans. Case studies demonstrate sEMG's significant advantages in optimizing the rehabilitation process and enhancing treatment efficacy. However, challenges such as signal noise and equipment cost remain, necessitating further research and technological improvements to advance the application and development of sEMG in rehabilitation medicine.","PeriodicalId":74678,"journal":{"name":"Research in health science","volume":"62 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141798968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since TCM has a 5,000 plus year history and is coexisting with modern medicine in China, it is difficult to simply conclude what the cultural characteristics of TCM are. This work analyzed the histories of TCM and western medicine on learning the liver, then revealed the cultural characteristics and the possible development of TCM. The comparison of mythological origin, anatomic history, as well as the framework of medical theory suggest that TCM is far away from a clear-cut subject and awaits more exploration both in theory and in practice: It is a comprehensive system integrating knowledges from multiple fields from ancient China; it emphasizes theory development, with the terms and function of organ are far beyond the organ of itself; and, its basic theoretical framework evolved and has become sort of like universal rule that would not be subsequently falsified. According to the cultural characteristics of TCM, there are four possible future directions for the development of TCM and it will continue to coexist with modern medicine in China for another foreseeable long time.","PeriodicalId":74678,"journal":{"name":"Research in health science","volume":"34 1‐4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141006717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
