Of the different types of lung cancer, lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) is the most common (2). Given the prevalence and lethality of lung cancer the need to elucidate the mechanisms of this disease and to develop novel therapeutic targets remains paramount. Amongst these factors, long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have gained considerable attention for their important roles in regulating myogenic differentiation and function.
