It is not uncommon for protein-protein interactions in the transmembrane signaling to exhibit low binding affinities with a dissociation constant in the μM range or higher. Presumably, membrane proteins can selectively bind with their binding partners via low-affinity interactions because they can only diffuse laterally in the membrane plane and interact with the partners within a limited space on the membrane surface or within the membrane. Kimura","doi":"10.5940/jcrsj.64.257","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5940/jcrsj.64.257","url":null,"abstract":"蛍光X線ホログラフィー(XFH)は,結晶内の特定元 素まわりの原子配列を三次元的に可視化できる手法であ り,1)1996年に初めて実証実験が行われて以来,2)ドーパ ントのサイトやクラスター構造の解析手法として発展を 遂げてきた.3)一方,ここ10年ほどの研究で,XFH 測定 で得られる原子像の強度や形状から物質内の原子変位 も精密に解析できることが明らかになり,4),5)原子変位の 新しい評価手法として注目されている.特に,原子変位 が物性発現のキーファクターとなる圧電体や強誘電体 への応用が急速に広まりつつある. 圧電体は,機械エネルギーと電気エネルギーを相互に 変換できる材料で,センサーやインクジェットプリン ターなどさまざまな用途で使用されている.現在,環境 負荷が高く人体に有害なPbを含むチタン酸ジルコン酸 鉛(PZT)が広く用いられていることから,これを代替 できる非鉛圧電材料の開発が急務とされている.非鉛圧 電体の中でも,ペロブスカイト構造を有するBaTiO3を ベースとした材料が近年盛んに研究されている.特に, (Ba,Ca)(Zr,Ti)O3(BCZT)は,約100°C以下の温度域 ではPZTを凌駕する圧電特性を示すことが知られてお り,6)現在,最も注目されている材料の1つである.BCZT の使用可能温度域の拡大や新たな非鉛圧電体の開発の ためには,高い圧電特性の起源を原子レベルで理解する 必要がある.
