The implementation of geothermal heat pump systems in large-scale horticulture farms has encountered challenges due to the substantial investment costs and operational stability concerns related to heat source temperatures. To address these limitations, this study proposes the novel concept of seasonal thermal storage and utilization. By incorporating a suitably sized storage tank, the capacity requirements of costly energy generation facilities like heat pumps can be significantly reduced, ensuring more consistent annual operation. Nevertheless, the installation of solar collectors for seasonal thermal storage may present additional challenges due to lack of space to accommodate large collectors, particularly in urban areas where the cost of land is high. This study considered two variations of seasonal thermal storage and utilization models, and conducted a comprehensive analysis of their operational characteristics and energy utilization. Through simulations and comparative analyses using an in-house developed simulation tool, the optimal design variables are determined, and the detailed operational characteristics are evaluated. In this study, the rating share was checked and six items that needed to be adjusted, such as TV, were selected. In addition, for the six items, the raised minimum annual average rating index was derived and the raised maximum rating was proposed by applying it. However, while the predictive performance of the model is important, there is very little data available from actual buildings in operation. Therefore, this study proposes a method to build a physical model that can predict indoor temperature using measured indoor thermal environment data (only partial data, mainly for air conditioning) for an actual operating building. Furthermore, a modeling methodology using TRNSYS components, which can be interlocked on the same platform as the air conditioning system is proposed. By comparing the simulated indoor temperature of the proposed model with the measured values, the prediction accuracy and temperature distribution pattern were improved compared to the original uncalibrated model. This improvement in accuracy was achieved by calibrating the model to the optimal parameters for each season through clustering. The carbon emissions of the energy systems were calculated by dividing the life cycle evaluation stage into four categories: production, construction, operation, and disposal, and the calculation of carbon emissions in the operation stage was based on the annual performance analysis of the dynamic energy simulation. For 1 year of operation, the GSHP system had 14% higher carbon emissions than the ASHP system, while for 20 years of operation, the ASHP system had 39% higher carbon emissions than the GSHP. Protocol A determines the release concentration of the tracer gas to be used in the experiment, Protocol B presents a method for measuring cross-infection in a single room, and Protocol C involves a statistical analysis of measurement uncertainties to enhance accuracy and reliability. Based on the presented field evaluation, it is possible to assess the infection risk in an indoor air environment of existing or new medical facilities in practical operation.
