A main trend is the digitalization of the grid that implements automation and monitoring concepts at every voltage level. The consequent growing role of data management is calling for new paradigms in the service implementation. This paper presents a cloud-based platform concept that enables an open structure for new energy services. The architecture of the platform is presented to clarify the concept itself and the opportunities it opens.
