One of the causes of this high rate is attributed to the anxiety experienced during pregnancy, reaching 373,000 cases. Antenatal hypnotherapy is an effort aimed at reducing maternal anxiety with the goal of preparing for a normal pregnancy and facilitating the labor process. Hypnotherapy in Antenatal care focuses on providing comfort to mothers by inducing deep relaxation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of antenatal hypnotherapy in reducing anxiety during the labor process at PMB Pera Medan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design (pseudo-experiment). The study utilized a One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test design. The population consisted of all third-trimester pregnant women at PMB Pera Medan, totaling 61 pregnant women, with a sample size of 16 selected through purposive sampling. The research findings indicate that the average anxiety level among third-trimester pregnant women at the Independent Practice of Midwife Pera Medan before receiving antenatal hypnotherapy was 30.1875 (moderate anxiety), which decreased to 13.8750 (mild anxiety) after receiving antenatal hypnotherapy. There is a significant influence of antenatal hypnotherapy on reducing anxiety during labor at PMB Pera Medan with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it is advisable to continue antenatal hypnotherapy classes for pregnant women during each ANC visit and at home to reduce anxiety, thereby facilitating a normal labor process.","PeriodicalId":435731,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL MUTIARA NERS","volume":"68 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140503955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective: To ascertain the elements that impact hospital patient safety event reporting. Method: This article was written utilizing a literature review methodology. Data was gathered from database sources, and 20 articles between 2018 and 2023 were examined for PICOT analysis using the keywords patient safety incident, reporting, and health service. Results: There are three elements that affect the reporting of patient safety incidents that take place in hospitals: government, organizational, and human factors. It can be observed from features of nurse skills and patient safety culture in addition to environmental influences (individuals, organizations, and government). Cultural barriers (avoidance of conflict and fear of being blamed and penalized) and practical barriers (lack of expertise, so officers do not know how to report occurrences, lack of feedback, and lack of socialization connected to reporting incidents). Discussion: As a result of the existing literature review, no one has discussed the existence of organizational/hospital and government targets in efforts to achieve the target percentage (%) of PSI reporting. In order to improve employee motivation and involvement in reporting patient safety incidents and, ultimately, raise the standard of care provided to hospital patients, more research is required regarding the implementation of patient safety incident reporting in hospitals. Conclusion: The reporting of patient safety incidents in hospitals is influenced by three factors: personal, organizational, and governmental. Lack of feedback has been recognized as one of the weaknesses in incident reporting.","PeriodicalId":435731,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL MUTIARA NERS","volume":"118 1-3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140503929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mismanaged nutritional and fluid intake may lead to adverse clinical consequences, including the development of ascites and edema. Furthermore, inadequate implementation of a well-balanced nutritional and fluid regimen can result in the depletion of muscle and fat mass, thereby impacting the daily functioning of individuals grappling with chronic kidney disease. The correlation between patients' adherence to such dietary protocols and their ability to autonomously manage self-care further underscores the significance of this study. This quantitative research was conducted using a descriptive approach and a cross-sectional design to examine patient self-care and its alignment with nutritional and fluid diet adherence among chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. The study was conducted at Bakti Timah Hospital and Depati Hamzah General Hospital in Pangkalpinang. This research primarily measured the degree of Self Care exhibited by Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing Hemodialysis in adherence to a prescribed Nutritional and Fluid Diet. The findings unveiled a majority of patients (82.2%) adhering to dietary intake of essential nutrients, particularly staple foods. Conversely, the assessment of side dish consumption revealed a considerable proportion (62.7%) in the non-adherent category. Similarly, the description of mineral and water intake highlighted a majority (50.8%) falling into the non-compliant segment. Conversely, vegetable and fruit intake garnered adherence from a substantial number of patients (68.6%). Moreover, the assessment of self-care adherence in relation to vitamin consumption displayed a significant level of compliance (64.4%). In general, the self-care adherence to diet, nutrition, and fluids in hemodialysis (68.6%) was within the non-adherent category.","PeriodicalId":435731,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL MUTIARA NERS","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125002768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
