For this seeds treated with different concentrations (10, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 ppm) of Cu, Cd, Pb, Ni and Zn along with control. Maximum reduction in seed germination percentage was observed at 1000 ppm concentration. It decreased up to 40% in Cd, 60% in Pb 83% in Ni and Zn and 93% in Cu, whereas it was found to be 100% in the control. The shoot length at 500 ppm concentration was drastically reduced to led than one third of control in case of cadmium. At 500 ppm concentration of lead it was reduced to less than half of control. It was observed that heavy metal significantly reduced the fresh weight of seedling of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba. The percentage decreased in the fresh wright of seedling due to heavy metal application as compared to control. With increases in concentrations of heavy metals there was a gradual decrease in total chorophyll content in Cyamopsis tetragonoloba except in respect of Zn and Cu up to 10 and 50 ppm concentration, respectively where it was superior to control. It was observed that Zn and Cu were less inhibitory to the amount of total carotenoid content in comparison to other heavy metals. In the control of carotenoid content was 0.37 mg/g fresh weight which decreased to 0.1 mg/g in Cd 0.20 mg/g in Pb, 0.23 mg/g in Ni 0.26 mg/g in Zn and Cu of fresh weight at 1000 ppm concentration. All biochemical parameters reduced at 1000ppm increasing from 10 ppm.","PeriodicalId":427849,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Contemporary Research and Review","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124801498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As agruged by Wong, Luo, and Fong (2019) it has been found through experiments and piloting techniques that the existing traditional methods and knowledge is not suited into coping and addressing the unique and sophisticated situations. In the process of searching and coming up with techniques such the use of Bernoulli’s principle for aerodynamics and aviation, perturbation techniques, and the nonlinear approximation methods, it was discovered that physics, chemistry, and mathematics brings out a limited area of interest and therefore can only offer solutions to problems in narrow perspectives. For example, the aforementioned disciplines majorly concentrated on a particular subject of interest and use limited principles towards solving the identified problem, that is to say, a significant number of assumptions are brought into play in order to help in arriving at the intended destinations. Notably, the techniques applied in solving scientific problems do not regard competing frameworks and this contributed to their limited nature in solving social and physical problems. As suggested by Leaver,Willson, and Torres (2016) it is against this backdrop that, framing of a problem through gaming techniques in subject content areas is being encouraged since it involves competing frameworks and consequently works to reduce the number of assumptions plunged in the process of solving mathematical problem. Gaming techniques entails the combination of various techniques that can deal with adversities, uncertainty, unique, and sophisticated situations in the field of science. Fundamentally, framing of a problem through gaming tricks provides an advantage of combining the social-human with economic, technological, and physical domains. The outcome associated with the gaming technique is scientific improvements and increased applications of the available knowledge and information (Wong, Luo, and Fong, 2019).","PeriodicalId":427849,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Contemporary Research and Review","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122374159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this, the study was guided by two hypotheses. A correlational research design was used for this study and the population for the study was made up of all the registered players of three north- east football clubs in Nigeria premier league in 2013/2014 season. Comprehensive sampling technique was used for the study. One hundred and five (105) players were used for the study. A modified 52- item questionnaire and 17- item Self – Developed scale on team Performance Satisfaction Questionnaire (TPSQ) were used to collect information from the respondents with a reliability coefficient of 0.856. A modified 4 point Likert Type Scale was used. The Response Mode of Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree and Strongly Disagree was used. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics of Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC) to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The results showed that there is significant correlation between cohesion (Environmental and Leadership) factors and team performance satisfaction in the North – East Football Clubs in Nigeria Premier League. This showed that there is team performance satisfaction in three (El-Kanemi Warrirs Football Club, Gombe United Football Club and Taraba United Club) clubs in the North-East Nigeria in 2013/2014 premier league. Secondary data was used for the study and it was obtained from the financial statement of the Central Bank of Nigeria for the period 2000-2018. The unit root property of the data was analyzed using the Augmented Dickey Fuller Test and the variables were all stationary at first difference. Also, Johansen Co-integration test statistics was used to test the cointegrating nature of the data while the longrun and the shortrun relationship between the variables of the study were examined using the error correction model. The data was tested for normality using the Jarque-Bera test statistics. The result of the study indicates that a positive relationship exist between Exchange Rate and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The relationship is statistically significant (as tcal = 7.25891) is greater than ttab = 2.101 df 17) and in line with a priori expectation. The longrun co-integrating equation shows that a negative relationship exit between Interest Rate (INT) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the result is not statistically significant (as tcal = -12.5639 is greater than ttab = 2.101 @ df 17). Inflation (INF) was negatively related to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the long-run. A unit increase in Inflation (INF) will lead to a corresponding increase in Foreign Direct Investment by GDP by 23.37%. This relationship is statistically significant (p<0.05) (as tcal = -12.5639) is less than ttab = 2.101@ df 17) and in line with our a priori expectation. It was recommended among others that board composition effect on total voluntary disclosure can be increased when appointment is made sometimes of an outside director who is an official of a financial firm as it has been found to increase firm share value. It was concluded that FDI is an important avenue for investment in agricultural, manufacturing and transfer of technology to an economy. It was recommended among others that the government should seek to stabilize exchange rates, through adoption of sound fiscal and monetary policies.","PeriodicalId":427849,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Contemporary Research and Review","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125867246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study applies the quasi experimental research design. The secondary time series data were obtained from annual report of the fifteen (15) quoted commercial banks in Nigeria as compiled in the Nigeria Stock Exchange Fact book for the period 1989 to 2015. The dependent variable; credit risk was modelled with the five (5) variants of capital adequacy measures as prescribed in Basel III provisions as our dependent variables. The independent variables were categorized under Tier I, Tier II, capital to total assets, capital conservation Buffer (CCB), Minimum Total capital Ratio (MTC) and counter cyclical capital Buffer (CCyB). The multivariate regression technique was specified and results obtained based on E-views version 9.0. The unit root result shows that the variables were stationary at levels in all except MTC which was stationary at first difference. The conintegration result shows existence of a long run equilibrium relationship between credit risk and capital adequacy. The VAR result shows that changes in credit risk were statistically and significantly influenced by capital adequacy measures. The bi-variate causality test unveils that credit risk granger-causes Tier I, capital to total risk assets, hence there exist a bidirectional link between credit risk and capital adequacy (CCB) though credit risk granger-cause more. The Impulse Response Function result shows that credit risk responded normally and negatively to the selected capital adequacy measures except for MTC ratio. The variance decomposition result unveils that credit risk accounted for own shocks up to 79.30%, this points to the critical nature of credit risk to bank survival and growth. It accounts for 70% and 72% of all cervical cancer cases and anal cancer cases worldwide, respectively. Annually, over 470,000 women are diagnosed globally with cervical cancer, and 233,372 of them die. \u0000Objective: The HPV vaccine could now largely prevent cervical cancer and potential death. However, uptake of the vaccine is variable in our population due to many factors. We believe that one major factor is the physician’s knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) toward HPV disease and vaccination. Although the HPV vaccine has been added to the UAE vaccination schedule since 2010, the physician’s KAP toward HPV disease and vaccination in our country have been poorly studied. This study aims to examine and identify the gaps in the physician’s KAP. These gaps can later be targeted in a quality improvement project in the future. \u0000Methods: A 20-question survey was distributed to different physicians working in departments such as the pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and family medicine, both in the primary health care and government sectors.
