Nevertheless, this dialectic is significantly underestimated by plenty of counterexamples such as empiricism, liberty and necessity, the immateriality of the soul, and copy principle. In response to these brainstorming facets, this research article intends to determine that Hume is a causal anti-realist; I have, in turn, explored three supporting arguments to defend the compelling idea: conventional manifestation of causality - Hume’s advocacy of necessary connection - the idea of liberty and necessity. However, this critical study is restricted to examine other substantial reflections on those which are included in the compositions of Treatise and Enquiry.   \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121544522","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It investigates attitudes towards locally produced software, identifies societal problems affecting software marketing, analyzes challenges faced by software development students, explores factors influencing the preference for foreign software, and proposes strategies for promoting Made-in-Gombe software. The research questions address various aspects of software marketing and the behavior of Gombe consumers. The study finds that there are significant challenges in marketing Made-in-Gombe software, including perceived inadequate skills among developers, limited government support, and socioeconomic factors impacting students' software development, poor classroom environments, frequent lecturer transfers, and insufficient learning materials. Locally made software is also perceived as inefficient, and the high cost of hosting websites and deploying software hinders its development. The study's significance lies in aiding multinational and indigenous companies in Nigeria with effective marketing planning, providing insights for academics and marketing consultants, and encouraging further research in promoting Gombe-made products. While the study focuses on Gombe-made software, its findings can be applicable to other locally manufactured products. Recommendations are provided to address the identified challenges and improve the marketing of Made-in-Gombe software.","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115560497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is against this backdrop that the study investigated parental involvement as correlates of career decision-making among secondary school students in Oyo State, Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design of correlational types was adopted in the study and the population of the study included 371, 040 secondary school students in Oyo State. The sample size was 384 secondary school students which was determined using Krejcie and Morgan sample size determination table. Questionnaire was the instrument used in the collection of data and data were analysed using simple percentage, Pearson product moment correlation (PPMC) and simple regression at 0.05 level of significance. Results revealed that there was significant positive relationship between parental involvement and career decision-making (r = 0.503, p<.05). There was a significant influence of parental involvement and career decision-making, (F (1, 382) = 66.484, p<0.05), and parental involvement contributed 10.6 to the prediction of career decision-making. It was concluded that parents have a strong influence over the choices of career decision that their children make. It was recommended that giving negative comments about different careers by parents should be avoided. This is because children are susceptible to careless comments parents make about good and bad professions as this could make them to lose interest in their dream careers.","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"45 4-5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116507711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides clinical examination and imaging, serum protein tumor markers (SPTMs) measurements are used for follow-up. To find out the association of two postoperative SPTMs (e.g., Carcinoembryonic antigen/CEA, Carbohydrate antigen15-3/CA15-3) with the future recurrence of breast cancer among Bangladeshi women. Prospective-observational study was conducted among purposively-selected one hundred Patients (who underwent surgery before six months) during their routine follow-up visit to an oncology/surgical setting in Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh. Postoperative CEA (cut-off:5ng/mL) and CA15-3 (30 U/mL) were measured at a single point time by ‘chemiluminescent Immuno assay.' Patients were then followed up for one year to detect any recurrence. Quantitative and categorical variables were compared by Student’s t-test and Fisher’s exact test, respectively. Sensitivity, specificity, and AUC (Area under the curve) of both SPTMs were estimated. Most (64%) of the patients were postmenopausal (Mean-age: 49.8±12.1) with elevated CA15-3 (32%) and CEA (18%). Overall recurrence was 18%, and only CA15-3 was found to be associated with visceral (hepatic and bone) recurrence (P=0.015). The sensitivity and specificity of CEA and CA15-3 were 22.22%, 82.9%, and 66.7%, 75.6%, respectively, while combined sensitivity increased by 6.25%. The AUC of the receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves were 0.62, 0.82, and 0.88 for CEA, CA15-3, and combination, respectively.  Postoperative CA15-3 has been shown to have the capacity to rule out visceral recurrence with a reasonably high probability. Since the specificity of CA15-3 is pretty good, it may detect early recurrence following primary treatment of carcinoma breast.","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"176 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128797803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

(90 45N, 600 7E, Alt, 70.57 m) in the Southern Guinea Savannah Agro-ecological zone of Nigeria in 2020-2022 cropping seasons The study was to evaluate the effect of pre-rice cropping cassava/legume intercrops and different weed management practices on weed control efficiency, growth and productivity of low land   rice. The trial was conducted in two stages. The first (preceding intercropping) The treatments consisted of  Mucuna puriens, Cowpea, Soybean, Lablab purpureus and Aeschynomene histrix that were intercropped with cassava (IIT 427 variety), sole cassava and natural fallow were also included as treatments. These were laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design and replicated three times. Cassava/legume intercropping was carried out in January using residual moisture on raised beds that were prepared manually. Plot size used was 12.5 x 5 m with alley way of 0.5 m.   Beds were constructed at 2.5 m long, 0.5 m wide and 0.75 m high. Planting of Cassava was done on the top sides of beds in two rows with the intra-row spacing of 0.5 (ten stands per bed) and planting of legumes were 0.5 m x 9.25 inter and intra-row spacing respectively except for soybean which was planted drilled at 5 cm intra row spacing immediately the beds were constructed. The cassava/legume cropping was harvested in August The second trial was the planting of rice on the plots previously cropped with cassava/legume intercrops. The trial was laid out in split plot design. Cassava/legume intercrop systems were allocated to the main plot, while weed management practices:- (i) Application of 4. 0 (propanil at 1.44 kg a.i. ha-1 plus 2,4 D at 0.80 kg a.i ha-1 ( Orizo plusR, at the rate of 2.24 kg a.i ha-1 at 3  weeks after transplanting  (WAT) followed by hand weeding at 6 WAT (ii)  two hand weedings at  3 and 6 WAT (iii) one hand weeding at 3 WAT, and (iv)  weedy check  were put into the sub plots with size of 12.5 x 5 m for main plots while and sub plot size was 3 x 5 m three replications. The results of treatments indicated that rice planted after cassava/Mucuna, cassava/Aeschynomene intercrops under two hand weeding and herbicide followed by one hand weeding produced lower density and dry matter. Weed control efficiency was higher in rice planted after cassava/mucuna intercrop. Weed reduction percentage range from 25-45 %, 30-50 % and 45-65 % in rice grown after cassava/legume intercrop compared to rice after fallow in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively. Higher rice plant height, higher number of rice tiller/stand were recorded in rice grown after cassava/Mucuna, cassava/Aeschynomene. Rice panicles per m2   and rice grain yield were increased by 72.9%, 83.6% and 84.1% in 2011, 2012 and 2013, respectively, with two hand weeding when compared with zero weeding.  Rice planted after natural fallow under zero weeding produced higher weed density which resulted in poor ri","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116451884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The following parameters were used: feed intake, bodyweight gain, feed conversion ratio and water intake. Two hundred and seventy (270) grower pullet chickens (Isa Brown), were randomly allocated into nine treatments at 30 birds per treatment. Each treatment was replicated three times in RCBD involving 3×3 factorial arrangement. The grower pullet chickens were fed nine treatment diets containing 3 energy levels (2500, 2700 and 2900 ME (kcal/kg) and 3 crude protein levels (14, 15 and 16%). Feed and water were given ad libitum. Feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio and water intake of grower pullet chickens were significantly (P<0.05) influenced by energy-protein ratios. Feed intake decreased with increase in energy-protein ratio of the diets. Grower pullets fed diets containing 2500 and 2700 ME (kcal/kg) diet at14% CP recorded low feed intake, body weight gain, water intake and feed cost/kg gain compared to others while those on 2700 ME (kcal/kg) diet at 14% CP showed lower FCR. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the body weight of grower pullets was better controlled on 2700 ME (kcal/kg) diet at 14% CP. This study aims to find and examine various concepts about virtual objects and the position of virtual objects in the Civil Code. This research is normative legal research, using a conceptual approach and a statutory approach. The data used are primary, secondary and tertiary. The data is analyzed qualitatively. The results show that: (1) The term virtual object is not known in the Civil Code but rather intangible objects because the Civil Code has existed and been in force since May 1, 1948, while the virtual world only developed in 1970.  (2) Virtual objects are categorized as objects because they meet the elements: can be mastered/attached rights by humans, can be captured by the five senses or not, can be valued with money, or economic value, is a unity of owner and object. Because virtual objects are known and exist in the virtual world, one element is added that is formed through the interconnection of computer networks. (3) The position of virtual objects in the Civil Code shall be limited insofar as intangible or disembodied objects are concerned. This is a consequence of a constantly changing society, with rules in that society. Law developed as an alternative that could follow society's development according to its era's needs. (4) Along with legal developments that follow the development of society related to virtual objects, although limited, it has been regulated in several regulations outside the Civil Code, namely Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright and Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":421703,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"338 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134260121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
