The purpose of the research was to identify the learning styles and to verify if there are significant differences in the academic performance existed according to predominant learning style, the work had a descriptive correlational scope, the Neurolinguistic Programming Model by Grinder and Bandler (1979) was taken as reference, where the instrument was the Learning Style Test PNL or VAK Model of 40 items, while to measure the academic performance the notes of the students were requested to the study unit. Verifying that generally the proportions of 40%, 30% and 30% are expected for the visual, auditory and kinesthetic perceptions respectively, it was also verified by means of the Kruskal-Wallis test, that the academic performance in the general statistics course does not differ according to the predominant learning style of the student (p.=0.498), we concluded affirming that discovering the predominant learning style allows us to know the type of student we have in the classroom, which gives us a diagnosis of the strengths and weaknesses of the students. The aim of this research is to identify the profile and preferences of honeymoon travel consumers, their sociodemographic variables, consumption trends, tourist spending and the attributes that the destination must have to be chosen. The empirical work was carried out in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, by administering a questionnaire. The research´s results showed that in this market segment, most of the people are young couples with third-level studies and with good economic incomes, who generally chose the Caribbean tourism product, which represents, a sun and beach tourism, as a travel option. They also indicated that “romantic\", \"nice weather\", \"good accommodation\" and \"affordable prices\" were the most important attributes at determining the chosen honeymoon destination. Miño, Jacqueline Alejandra Noboa Velástegui, Iván Patricio Yánez Ortíz, Javier Vargas Estrella","doi":"10.36331/revista.v7i1.102","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36331/revista.v7i1.102","url":null,"abstract":"El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la presencia de residuos de doxiciclina en carne de bovinos procedente del matadero del Gobierno Autonomo Descentralizado (GAD) del canton Mejia, localizado en la provincia de Pichincha, Ecuador, durante el periodo comprendido entre el 29 de septiembre y el 26 de octubre de 2017. Durante el primer semestre de 2017 se faenaron mensualmente un promedio de 1.179 bovinos, estableciendose el tamano de la muestra en 160 muestras de musculo, las cuales fueron analizadas en el Laboratorio de Contaminantes de Productos Pecuarios de AGROCALIDAD mediante la tecnica de Ensayo de Inmunoabsorcion Ligando a Enzimas (ELISA). Se determino que existe la presencia de residuos de doxiciclina en el 15,63% (25/160) de las muestras analizadas. La concentracion promedio de residuos de doxiciclina fue de 16,6 µg/kg (1,5-95,0 µg/kg), donde el 80% (20/25) de las muestras positivas presentaron una concentracion entre 1-25 µg/kg. La cetosis subclinica representa un desafio para las personas que la enfrentan en sus vacas, porque esta subdiagnosticada y genera gran impacto economico relacionado con trastornos de salud que reflejan perdidas en eficiencia reproductiva, produccion lechera y bienestar animal. El objetivo del estudio consistio en analizar la produccion lechera, la condicion corporal y numero de partos como factores de riesgo para la presencia de cetosis subclinica en vacas lecheras y determinar su asociacion en una explotacion de leche. Mediante criterios de inclusion y exclusion, se selecciono registros con un muestreo de orina de 29 vacas en el preparto, parto, y 15, 30, 60 y 90 dias post parto. Esta informacion se analizo con la prueba estadistica Chi cuadrado de Pearson cuyos resultados muestran que la presencia de cetosis subclinica depende de la produccion lechera a los 60 dias post parto (p < 0,05) y a los 90 dias post parto (p < 0,05). El valor de 0,57 se obtuvo para la prueba V de Cramer a los 60 dias post parto y un valor de 0,61 a los 90 dias post parto, demostrando un 57% - 61% de asociacion entre la produccion lechera y la cetosis subclinica, considerandola como factor de riesgo. Mazon, Henry Troya Armijos, Doris Valarezo Espinoza","doi":"10.36331/REVISTA.V7I1.99","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36331/REVISTA.V7I1.99","url":null,"abstract":"In recent years the global citrus industry has been threatened by the presence of the Asian citrus psyllid Diaphorina citri, a harmful insect carrying the Candidatus Liberibacter bacterium that which causes the Huanglongbing disease (HLB), which has caused the devastation of plantations and reduction of citrus production worldwide. In 2017, the presence of D. citri was reported in backyard plants of Catamayo; however, no symptoms of HLB have been detected. The aim of this research was to identify the natural enemies (predators, parasitoids and fungi) associated with Diaphorina citri, and to evaluate its incidence in the countryside in Catamayo, province of Loja, for which backyard plants samples were taken (Citrus sp. Murraya paniculata) in: Buenavista, Cementerio, Parque Primero de Mayo, Trapichillo and El Guayabal. The samples were taken at a height of 1.5 m from the plant considering as well its cardinal points; larvae and adults of predators, parasitized nymphs and adult parasitoids, as well as adults of D. citri for the isolation of fungi were collected. As a result of lab analysis, the presence of 11 predatory species were identified (mainly Cheilomenes sexmaculata and Chrysopa sp), as well as two species of parasitoids (Diaphorencyrtus sp and Tamarixia radiata) and four species of fungi (Cladosporium sp, Fusarium sp, Aspergillus sp and Alternaria sp). Diaphorencyrtus sp had a parasitism rate of 7.76%. Los objetivos del estudio estuvieron direccionados a realizar un levantamiento preliminar de informacion para determinar si existe presencia de boldenona en carne de bovinos faenados en el Camal Metropolitano de Quito y relacionar la presencia de esta, en funcion a su edad y procedencia. Se tomaron 72 muestras de carne al azar, de animales con buena conformacion, por un lapso de 4 semanas; posteriormente se analizaron por la tecnica de screening de ELISA, en el Laboratorio de Contaminantes de Productos Pecuarios de AGROCALIDAD.
