Penelitian meta analisis ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui effect size total dan menganalisis model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan media terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, dimana penelitian meta analisis kali ini menggunakan 10 artikel penelitian dari 980 artikel ilmiah yang ditemukan pada platfrom harzing’s publish or peerish yang memenuhi kriteria eksklusi dan inklusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, yaitu menganalisis gejala yang ada berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh dari berbagai penelitian sebelumnya dan dirangkum oleh pendekatan Meta-Ethnography. Objek penelitian adalah laporan hasil penelitian guru dan alumni mahasiswa pendidikan matematika yang mengkaji masalah kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. During a pandemic, the course manager expects that CPMK Journalism will continue to function at its best. As a result, academics are working on it and lecturers are putting interactive learning techniques for news writing skills into use via the WhatsApp Group. The one-group, pretest-posttest design of this study combined a descriptive quantitative technique with a pre-experimental design method. This study used interactive learning approaches for news writing skills utilizing the WhatsApp Group. The strategies were taken from Komara (2014). Based on the calculation of the mean (average value), the student received a pretest score of 70.5. Based on the calculation of the mean (average value), the student received a posttest score of 91.5. According to the research questionnaire's findings from ten assertions, students are generally open to using the WhatsApp Group to adopt interactive learning strategies. Analisis datanya melaui langkah-langkah seperti pengkajian data, reduksi data dan verifikasi/kesimpulan. Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa: Pertama, SMP Islam Al-Karimah Temuroso Guntur Demak merencanakan beberapa kegiatan guna membentuk kedisiplinan peserta didik. Kedua, pelaksanaan beberapa program tersebut semuanya berjalan tertib sesuai rencana jadwal. Kompetensi guru memiliki korelasi yang tinggi dengan kinerja guru. Hanya saja, kompetensi dan kualitas guru tidak berbanding lurus dengan capaian pembelajaran. Hal ini karena kinerja guru merupakan suatu tahapan hasil sehingga tidak hanya dilihat dari faktor kompetensi saja, melainkan dipadukan dengan beban kerja dan perencanaan SDM. Dengan demikian, penelitian bertujuan untuk menelaah hubungan antara tingkat beban kerja guru, perencanaan SDM, dan kinerja guru. Kajian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur. Literatur utama yang dikaji adalah hasil penelitian dari Arifah, Saputra, dan Wahyudin yang dikorelasikan dengan pendekatan Undang-Undang No. 14 Tahun 2005, Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 19 Tahun 2017, serta Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 15 Tahun 2018. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, diketahui bahwa ada hubungan yang erat antara beban kerja, perencanaan SDM, dan kinerja guru. Semakin proporsional beban kerja guru dan distribusi SDM mencukupi untuk kebutuhan personel guru, kinerja guru akan optimal sehingga menghasilkan capaian pembelajaran yang optimal. The DI approach is a lecturer-centered approach. Howover, this approach tends to be boring for the students as it is very tedious and dominated by the lecturer. Moreover, this approach limits students in developing the habit of problem-solving and creative thinking in learning processes. Therefore, it is very important to develop a new innovative approach in teaching activity that gives students more opportunities to be involved in the learning process. Direct Problem-Based Learning with the utilisation of Multimedia (mDPBL) is developed as an alternative teaching approach to eliminate the disadvantages, especially in the limitations in students' creative thinking.This research measures students’ creative thinking skills after being taught using mDPBL approach. This research uses quasi-experimental method. 276 students involved in this research. The result of the measurement shows that the students’ controlled group has an average score of 18.014 while the latter, the experimental group has an average score of 19.669. Based on the t-test analysis conducted in both groups, they have shown a difference of 1.655 in average score. Pengolahan data memanfaatkan program SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Product and Smart Solutions). {"title":"Becoming IELTS Examiners: Demystifying Native-Speakerism in the Area of English Language Testing","authors":"Pritz Hutabarat","doi":"10.51454/jet.v4i1.217","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51454/jet.v4i1.217","url":null,"abstract":"The field of English language teaching (ELT) has long been a fertile soil for native-speakerism where the native English teachers (NESTs) enjoy the privilege to be crowned as the ideal teachers of the language. Such belief is ingrained in all aspects of ELT including English language testing such as in International English language Testing System (IELTS), where the presence of non-native English examiners is extremely rare. Departing from this phenomenon, this study, conducted as a narrative case study, embarked to counter such claim by looking into the professional credentials and experiences of three non-native English teachers (NNESTs) who, against all odds, become official IELTS examiners in Indonesia. The data of the study were gathered through interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that the participants develop native-like level of fluency as the result of their investment in developing English skills through engaging in English mediated communication, interactions and learning in private English language institutions (PELIs). Moreover, their success is also attributed to their international teaching certificates which opened doors for them to compete with NESTs. There were several studies in the implementation of TPACK, but still less on the discussion about the challenges that the English teachers faced while implementing it, particularly in the online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study employed a descriptive design with a qualitative approach, which were analyzed descriptively through reducing inappropriate data, displaying and concluding data. The results of the data revealed that the English teachers of Bunga Bangsa Islamic Junior High School Samarinda had implemented TPACK in online learning context by using WhatsApp, Zoom meeting and Google Classroom as the technologies used to teaching, conducting demonstration and recitation method as the pedagogy to teach about “object pronoun” and “will and going to” as the content.
