The proposed inverter has a relatively simple structure, but it can provide the buck and boost capability within a single-stage operation. In addition, the proposed inverter achieves a common-ground between the DC input side and the load, which offers a zero-leakage current. By employing the characteristic of the switched-capacitor cell, the voltage stress of switching devices is also low. The operation of the proposed inverter is simulated in PSIM. Numerous variational models have been proposed in the literature dealing with Rician noise for MRI data. They, however, are first-order variational models, which suffer the staircase effect and smooth out fine structural details. In this paper, we propose a high-order convex variational model for Rician noise reduction. Unlike other works, our model employs the bounded Hessian regularizer to remedy the staircase effect and preserve small structures. The proofs for mathematical properties, including the convexity of the model, the existence and uniqueness of the solution, are provided. A split Bregman algorithm is developed to solve the proposed minimization problem. All subproblems are solved efficiently by either closed-form solutions or Newton’s method. The experimental scheme includes a helical-waveguide gyro-TWT and a saturable absorber which is based on cyclotron resonance interaction with an initially rectilinear electron beam. Saturation of absorption is caused by relativistic dependence of the gyrofrequency on electrons energy. In good agreement with theoretical predictions, periodical trains of 0.4 ns pulses with peak power of 100 kW and repetition period of 2.5 ns were measured. In the considered network, two transceivers simultaneously transmit and receive information with the aid of one IRS. The artificial noises (AN) are injected to protect information from the attack of an unknown eavesdropper. The aim is to minimize the signal transmission power, i.e., maximize the AN signal power, under the signal-to-interference-plus-noise (SINR) threshold constraints and the total transmission power of the transceivers. The alternating optimization and semidefinite relaxation methods are combined to find the two variable groups of beamformers, AN covariance matrices, and IRS phase shifts. Part one is the antenna structure simulated in the HFSS simulation software, thereby helping to evaluate the results from those configurations. Inhering the benefit of the DSD converter, the currents of each CF isolated dc-dc module can be automatically well-balanced regardless of the mismatch in the gate signals and the different characteristics of active and passive components in use. The simulation and experimental results are provided and assessed to illustrate the advantages of the proposed converter. However, the manual karyotyping process is a labor-intensive task. This paper focuses on automatic chromosome image classification, which is a step in karyotyping. We propose a convolutional neural network architecture for efficient type and polarity classification of the chromosome image, namely ETPC, which is leveraged from the EfficientNet family’s development. The ETPC’s classifier with a weighted classification loss function are designed for efficiency in the training process. We perform our experiment with two training scenarios on four clinical datasets. The experiment on a dataset of 28,225 original chromosome images demonstrates that the proposed network achieved comparable results, with an accuracy of 95.3% for the type classification and 99% for the polarity classification, while having a significantly smaller number of parameters than state-of-the-art methods. On the other hand, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology has received increasing interest in many applications from the wireless community. In this paper, we study a downlink (DL) communication network, wherein single-antenna users (UEs) are served by a multiple-antenna base station (BS). To assist the communication between UEs and BS under the assumption of no direct link from BS to UEs, we propose to mount the IRS on the UAV platform in order to exploit the advantages of both UAV and IRS technologies. In particular, the BS beamforming, the IRS phase shift and the UAV placement are jointly optimized to maximize the sum rate performance. Owing to the high coupling properties of the optimization variables, particularly the beamforming and IRS phase shift variables, the optimization problem is naturally non-convex. To effectively solve it, we propose an iterative algorithm by utilizing block coordinate and inner approximation methods. With the conventional PWM scheme, a DOBB converter inherits natural output voltage balancing, but only when D$geq$0.5 (boost region). The proposed asymmetrical PWM scheme helps the DOBB converter eliminate the duty ratio limitation. As a result, the two output voltages are automatically balanced even with unbalanced load conditions without any dedicated controller and/or auxiliary circuits in a whole range of duty ratio.
