In addition, it also attempts to show how they intended to: ensure state security, bring the war in the Donbass to an end, restore the territorial integrity – thus, to regain Kyiv’s control over the Donbass and Crimea, as well as where they were going to look for allies capable of providing support to Ukraine on the path to achieving the above-mentioned goals. An analysis of the elections programmes of each candidate will allow us to answer the questions. Attention was paid to the programme demands of those candidates who reeived at least a five per cent support in the presidential elections. Hence, the elections programmes of the participants of the second round of the elections, namely those of Volodymyr Zelensky, Petro Poroshenko, and also Yulia Tymoshenko, Yuriy Boyko, Anatoliy Hrytsenko, Ihor Smeshko as well as Oleh Lyashko, were subjected to analysis.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69371493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research methods aim at confirming a hypothesis that in order to deepen anti-corruption reforms and strengthen resilience in the fight against corruption, it is not enough for Latvia to conduct only institutional reforms, but it is important to promote anti-corruption values. The study is based on the methodology of new institutionalism and axiological analysis. The authors argue that if the role of non-democratic values is significant, it will slow down the progressive institutional reforms needed to bring Latvia’s anti-corruption policies fully in line with EU development strategies.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69371501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Grishkovets. This analysis is based on the idea of the human consciousness layering and the hierarchical principle of the organization of “mental spaces” in it, which was considered by F. E. Vasilyuk in relation to experiencing and its expression. The ideas about the work of experiencing as a movement between different life worlds, which are reflected in the monodramas by Grishkovets, are studied in the paper as a feature of the writer’s idiostyle. The narrator of the one-man theatrical shows is considered as a literary hero of the “New Sincerity” era, which replaced the period of postmodern literature. The article traces the features of the experiencing expression in the monodramas by Grishkovets, the associative nature of the author’s consciousness slipping into other life worlds, and the ways of creating (virtualizing) these life worlds.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69371574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to successful careers, marriages and land deals, the Belarusian-Lithuanian minor landed noble family of Łappa, represented by a retired officer of the Russian troops Dominik Łappa and his son Alexander, were among the most progressive and respected Belarusian landowners in the first half of the 19th century. Both newspapers, despite representing different political orientations (democratic-national and conservative), supported the so-called “incorporation programme”, the implementation of which left a massive Polish population behind the eastern border. Miciński. The article focuses on issues related to theatre and national rebirth. The research uses historical and biographical methods. The article considers two main sources. Firstly, the article analyzes memoirs of people who lived in that period. Secondly, the article looks at Miciński’s wartime journalistic texts. These texts include three of Miciński’s articles previously unknown to researchers, which were published in 1916 in the Moscow daily paper “Gazeta Polska”. The analysis has shown that Miciński’s journalism contains a lot of information about theatrical culture, and his voice in the Russian press and meetings with theatre artists could have a significant impact on the evolution of the performing arts in interwar Poland.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69371559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis also answers the question of whether the behavior of many African countries during the voting of the UN resolution against the war in Ukraine confirms the influence of Russia on the continent. The article also attempts to identify the causes of the conflict. The analysis of the history of Rusian-African relations is based essentially on the work of Russian historians and the research of Slava Tynes, an African-American researcher. It also includes studies by Arnaud Dubien, a French specialist in Russian foreign policy, Franco-Russian relations, and Russian policy in Africa, as well as by Sophie Coeuré, a professor at the University of Paris, and a specialist in Russia. The analysis of the position of African countries towards the war in Ukraine is based mainly on the publications of African intellectuals examining the behavior of African countries during the vote at the UN forum. Our analysis comes to a conclusion that the strategic attitude of African countries and the AU should be positioned as a powerful factor of reconciliation and mediation. On the other hand, African countries, in most cases, remain divided, weak and dependent on the former colonial powers, which results in the lack of a firm reaction to the protagonists of the war in Ukraine.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48395879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The force field of Christian archetypes has preserved a long tradition in the Ukrainian literature. Christian archetypes of the Resurrection and the Crucifixion in Shevchenko’s painting and literary work are studied with modern approaches to comparative literature and theological exegesis, taking into account artistic Christology, philosophical and aesthetic approach to art, and key ideas of archetypal interpretation. It is found out that, in Shevchenko’s poetry, the archetypes of the Resurrection and the Crucifixion are manifested in a number of modifications, where resurrection / crucifixion has a symbolic meaning in the sense of the resurrection / crucifixion of Ukraine, the resurrection / crucifixion of the people, the resurrection / crucifixion of a lyrical hero, etc. In painting, Christian archetypes are directly related to the transmission of the New Testament history.","PeriodicalId":38116,"journal":{"name":"Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69371555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
