China's remarkable economic growth and its rising global influence have prompted many countries, including Singapore, to recognize the significance of Chinese language proficiency for fostering closer economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties with China. The paper aims to analyse the strategic considerations behind China's engagement with Singapore and how these considerations have shaped the development of Chinese language education in Singapore. The review explores various dimensions of this relationship, including the historical context, policy frameworks, curriculum design, pedagogical approaches, and the impact on students' language proficiency and cultural understanding. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, this mini-review paper provides valuable insights into the dynamics between China's development strategy and the promotion of Chinese language education in Singapore, shedding light on the broader implications for language learning in the context of economic and geopolitical interactions.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124987980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the movie \"Assassin in Red\", the dual narrative space of surrealism creates a fantasy aesthetic intertwined with reality and the alien world. The two narrative spaces are full of connections and interactions, greatly breaking through the audience's life experience and aesthetic cognition, becoming a quite eye-catching presence during the Spring Festival period. This article will focus on exploring the parallel world of the movie \"Assassination of the Novelist\", where the vertical Chongqing mountain city structure in the real space serves as a metaphor for power and class, and the closed imperial capital space has a utopian illusion function, making the novel world a reflexive reflection on the real world, and the real world a reference for the novel world. By interpreting the dual space, we will better explore the inspiration this film brings to our society.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131262087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It begins by examining the conflicts between humanity and nature from the perspective of natural ecology, the conflicts between individuals and society from the perspective of social ecology, and the conflicts within the individual from the perspective of spiritual ecology. These conflicts are then interpreted within the context of Irving himself and early American history, shedding light on Irving's ecological consciousness and the ecological concepts prevalent in early American literature.","PeriodicalId":380947,"journal":{"name":"BCP Social Sciences & Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130134633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
