This engine performs 30 frame/sec with D1(720x480) resolution at 40 MHz. It has dedicated hardware architecture, memory reducing scheme, double buffering structure to decrease memory bus bandwidth and early decision mode for fast estimation at motion estimation. It supports to H.264/AVC base profile level 3. An example service (ZooGuide) is demonstrated in order to show the platform capabilities and the advantages of this approach. The service is realized on a DVB-H consumer terminal. We show that electronics and green design can have positive effect on social interaction in a neighbourhood by a design example, called the ldquoPrachtpaalrdquo, for the Bennekel district in the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands. By adding unique green designs in the district, the atmosphere and living quality of a neighbourhood can be greatly improved. With the implementation of light dependent sensors and colourful lights, the growth of the green plants is indicated so that people are stimulated in a more responsible way to take care of the plants. In the Internet domain it is usual to create individual profiles e. g. on news portals to filter preferred categories. In this paper we present a personal TV system that realizes an automated selection and an assembly of news clips based on a synchronized metadata distribution via DVB in the broadcast domain. Furthermore, we introduce two possible scenarios for a practical realization based on synchronized metadata. We sketch up a prototypically developed system using DVB specifications for a synchronized transmission of metadata and an open source PVR library for the client implementation, which is also running on Linux set-top boxes. The system can provide not only useful information of exhibitions such as their inside view, origination, and how-to-use, but also a variety of interactions with the exhibitions. The system prototype is implemented on ultra mobile personal computer (UMPC) which is equipped with a camera, an ultrasound receiver, and a gyro sensor. The system function consists of two parts: tracking part, and event handling and visualization part. The tracking part consists of two parts again: global pose tracking part using ultrasound sensors and a gyro sensor, and local pose tracking part using a vision sensor which computes effectively the camera pose under less-controlled environments by combining edge information with feature point information of the camera images. From the quality of service standpoint, minimizing the number of failures for this equipment is a way to gain customerpsilas confidence. To reach this goal, when a service terminates abnormally, the overall failure cause and impact need to be analyzed and quantified. This paper describes a fault hierarchy modeling for HGs: starting from test and field failure data, we analyzed the different failures gravity, their originpsilas correlation and their impact on the overall service architectural elements. The hierarchy interpreting the transition from faults to failures, a designer, or tester, can thus predict the consequences of a particular fault from this model.
