This study analyzes the relationship between language and culture in sega’s production or rice produced from gastrolinguistics and philosophical wisdom perspectives. This is a qualitative study with data resources from the various of sega’s produced in tingkeban traditional ceremony. The unit analysis is gastrolinguistics, that is sega’s produced containing philosophical wisdom values. Researchers are the main instrument which is supported by research tools in the form of observation and interview guides and mobile phone to shoot documents and to record audio and video data. Techniques of collecting data are participant and non-participant observations. There are primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from the implementation of tingkeban ceremony, while secondary data was obtained from social media (instagram and whatsapp group of Indonesian Master of Ceremoy Association/PEPARI and Yogyakarta Pranatacara Association/PPY). Data validation are through persistent observation, peer discussion, repeated review, and source and method triangulations. The result shows that (1) the kinds and meanings of sega’s produced of philosophical wisdom are in tuned with the tingkeban ceremony, (2) the meaning of philosophical wisdom is based on gastrolinguistics’ typonimy and typology, (3) gastrolinguistics’ typonimy and typology are serve requirements for tingkeban traditional ceremony. Tingkeban is a traditional owned by Javanese people which has spread across the archipelago. Therefore, gastrolinguistic of tingkeban traditional ceremony can become the supporting capacity of national identity.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135789720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Robert Guiscard set out from Italy for the island of Corfu, which he soon conquered. After landing, he received military reinforcements from Italy, and attacks began on the city of Durres, the main port on the Adriatic. The city was well protected on a long, narrow peninsula running parallel to the coast but separated by swamps. Guiscard brought his army to the peninsula and set up camp outside the city walls, but the Norman fleet sailing towards Durres was struck by a storm and lost several ships, despite the losses after the Norman siege, he invaded Durres.
 Durres turned into the main theater of the Norman-Byzantine war, and the conquest of Durres by the Normans brought fear, not only to the Ottoman Empire, but also to Europe's largest trading power, Venice. By controlling the Strait of Otranto, the Normans would control almost the entire Eastern Mediterranean. The geographical position of Durres and its connection with the old road Egnatia, which leads to Constantinople, make Durres the key to the conquest of the Byzantine Empire.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135788659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

FDI is becoming more important and is considered a catalyst for economic development, a source of transfer of technology and innovation from developed to developing countries.
 This study aims to examine the relationship between FDI and GDP in Indonesia. The analysis tool used is the cointegration test to determine the long-term relationship between FDI and GDP, and the causality relationship between FDI and GDP using the Granger causality (GC) test which is based on VECM. This study uses data on FDI, GDP, and labour with a panel data approach from 33 provinces in Indonesia for the period 2010 - 2020.
 The results of the study did not show a causal relationship between FDI and GDP, labour in Indonesia. From the results of the Impulse response from the VAR, it tends to diverge, the FDI response to GDP and labour is quite good. This shows that FDI brings externalities from technological innovation, increasing the ability of the workforce requires time for learning. The ability of human resources and the absorption capacity of local companies will affect the transfer of technology brought by FDI.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135369615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We collected data from people in Samar to understand this. We found that some factors, like income and marital status, are linked to a better understanding of red tide. However, factors like age, gender, household size, occupation, and education don't seem to make a big difference.We used a mix of methods, including numbers and discussions with groups of people. These discussions brought up important ideas, like the need for fair support for all groups affected by events like red tide, cooperation between local government and agencies, and better public education about red tide. This shows that working together, giving help when it's needed, and making informed choices are key to dealing with red tide.This study helps us understand how demographics affect what people know and do about red tide. It gives us ideas for ways to help people deal with red tide better. We suggest more research to understand why some factors matter more than others and how we can use these ideas to improve how we respond to red tide.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135363100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Computer-aided design includes. Design objectives and feasibility are the goals. This study optimizes the crane hook, a common mechanical component with complex geometry, using topology. The crane hook should be light but strong. Photoelasticity allows experimental verification of the design’s stress distribution by visualizing and stress patterns in birefringent property materials.
 Formulating the topology problem, design space, objective function, and constraints starts the study. The initial design and photoelasticity optics iterations are simulated using finite element analysis. Density method Isotropic Material with Penalization algorithm optimizes by iteratively updating the density distribution to improve the objective function while satisfying constraints. The design is then prototyped using a Photoelastic birefringent material. A known load and boundary conditions under polariscope experimental set-up stress the crane hook prototype. Computational topology and finite element analysis stress distributions are compared to isochromatic fringe principal stress patterns (1–2). Experimental and simulated results validate the design’s stress, displacements, and reliability. The study showed 23.45% weight reduction while maintaining crane hook structural integrity. Photoelasticity experimentally verifies stress distribution, boosting confidence in the design. Computational simulations and photoelasticity allow mechanical component validation.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135236091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mass production and customize production are two opposite poles for style of production. So, when we going for mass customization that means both extremities are getting balanced and meeting in between somewhere.
 The firms need some management tool which can enable them to achieve high productivity with lean losses and full customer delight. The managers also believe that along with external customers, the internal customership contains the same weightage of importance. And the challenge is, this management tool should support both external and internal customer delight. The mass customization has capability to cater this challenge of modern managers.
 The study of literature about mass customization was carried out. And it’s found that while implementing mass customization firms faced many challenges and ripped advantages too. The implementation is done either in all areas of management or for some localized department. For this research paper, based on the literature review Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) analysis is carried out to check out how mass customization can enhance management results in growth of business. A successful implementation of mass customization is not as easy as it looks, but its implementation can be a game changer.
 Many industries, mainly automobile industries, have already implemented mass customization for supply of parts as they must deliver a product in large numbers. Many other implementations of mass customization are operational today, such as software-based product configurations that make it possible to add and/or change functionalities of a core product or to build fully customized assembled products start to end. These are not perfect mass customization examples in the original sense, but they achieved the point of balance between mass production and customized production.
 As SWOT analysis reveals there are many strengthening examples and plenty of opportunities waiting to get explored for mass customizations in management domain. The company can create a great impact by developing customer-trusted brands. And this can be done with strategic implementation of mass customization in different domains of management like productivity, resource management, supply chain etc. In the era of industry 4.0, a win-win situation can be achieved by achieving economization of scale and customer delight by implementing mass customization.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135597346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is mainly due to increasing awareness of the retail and institutional investors on the ESG performance of the companies. The extant literature as evidenced these positive economic consequences of ESG (Gelb and Strawser, 2001, Barnea, Heinkel and Kraus, 2017, Jin, Piggott and Mitchell, 2011, Singh, Sethuraman and Lam, 2017, Eom and Nam, 2017), ESG performance of the firms makes them more resilient to markets risks leading to decrease in beta and increase in alpha values of the stocks. The studies like (Morck, Yeung and Yu, 2000) evidenced that emerging markets experience more stock price synchronicity due to higher correlation among the fundamentals of the companies. Against this backdrop, the present study makes an attempt to test the impact of ESG performance on stock price synchronicity. The study hypothesizes a negative association between ESG performance and stock price synchronicity implying that stocks with comparatively better ESG score are less vulnerable to systematic risk in the market.
 The present study selects all the constituents of BSE-ESG Index as the sample from the year 2013 to 2019. The data relating to ESG scores are sourced from yahoo.finance.com and other economic variables data has been collected from CMIE prowess database. The results of the analysis revealed a significant negative impact of ESG score of the sample companies on their stock price synchronicity. The results indicate that one unit increase in ESG score results in -0.021 decrease in synchronicity. The results are in line with extant literature (Gelb & Strawser, 2001; Durnev et al., 2004). Results are robust to alternative definitions of synchronicity and ESG scores. So, it can be inferred that reporting of ESG scores of the stock improves the informational efficiency of the stocks and makes then resilient to market risks.","PeriodicalId":37633,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Namibian Studies","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135598643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
