IoT consists of billions of uniquely identified smart objects ‘things’ with communication ability over the internet. These smart objects generate useful information for the provision of better services and improve the quality of life in different domains. However, there is a general lack of an integrated vision or a plan for selection and implementation of these smart objects. This paper presents the required tools and technologies (such as sensors, RFID, processors, actuators and communication models) that are essential in the IoT paradigm. The major objective of this review is to provide more detailed information about IoT smart objects, the building block of IoT, and conduct a comprehensive overview of IoT architecture with different scenarios. Moreover, this paper gives insight into IoT networking and the new type of low power wide area network (LPWAN) leading technologies in the licensed and unlicensed spectrum. The proposed technique is explained for integer and fractional order, minimum and non-minimum phase system having a time delay. The controller obtained via the proposed approach can be written as a series combination of a fractional order proportional-integral-derivative control structure and a fractional-order filter. The supremacy of proposed approach is demonstrated through different numerical examples and an extensive comparative analysis is also undertaken. Further, the robustness of proposed scheme is evaluated via introduction of interval uncertainty into the system. The speed response of IM drive using scalar control suffers from sluggish response and yields more oscillation due to saturation in the machine. The speed response is improved by the field oriented control scheme. Three level diode clamped inverter is used in place of two level voltage source inverter and the PWM pulses are obtained from Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) for both. Here, we grown the large-scale film composed of $alpha$-MoO3 microplates by using chemical vapor deposition process and fabricated a UV detector. The X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy confirmed the continuity and crystallinity of the deposited MoO3 film on SiO2/Si substrate. The device exhibited a high responsivity of ~ 500 mA/W and a photo/dark current ratio of over 6 and a significant fast response time under UV-light (360 nm) irradiation. Low power and high-performance wireless sensor networks permit flexible modeling of IoT. MANETs predominantly deploy Ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) routing algorithm to develop routes reactively. AODV deploys the destination sequence number by which it provides loop-free routes. In this paper, the hardware architecture for the functionality of the route discovery process utilized in AODV routing protocol is modeled and implemented using Verilog hardware description language and synthesized in XC4VLX25 device. Moreover, some parameter constants have also been taken into consideration to implement a route discovery mechanism for the real-time scenario. Despite of different messaging solutions today, SMS is still used for many services. The 5G core network and mobile terminals will support SMS transfer over non-access stratum messages. As a key technology for 5G Multi-access edge computing that distributes cloud intelligence at the network edge may be used to deliver context aware text messaging to mobile subscribers without the support of core network functionality. In this paper, we propose a new mobile edge service that enables third party applications to send messages to mobile subscribers. Third party text messaging at the network edge decreases the core network signaling and saves network resources while at the same time delivers timely location and context based information. The service is described by typical use cases, interfaces definition and the respective data model. Spectrum sensing involves classification of a part of spectrum or a frequency band as either “occupied” or “unoccupied”. A secondary user is permitted to transmit in this frequency band only if it is “unoccupied”. Conventional method for spectrum sensing involves checking the energy of received signal against a threshold. Such a method for classification of spectrum sensing may not be efficient when the decision region between “occupied” class and “unoccupied” class is nonlinear. In this paper, we propose to implement such a nonlinear classifier using support vector machine (SVM). Since, cognitive radio measurements involve large dataset, application of SVM is difficult for spectrum sensing. To overcome this difficulty, we apply a new fast learning algorithm (FLA-SVM) proposed in the literature to this problem. Application of FLA-SVM results in sample points reduced to $1/4^{th} sim 1/5^{th}$, even to $1/10^{th}$ of initial training samples. Using these final samples, the training time gets reduced considerably and training speed increases to a remarkable extent. The most significant aspect is that the accuracy of classification can be kept similar as when a large set of training samples is applied to train the SVM. Person tracking is one of the typical computer vision problem which is the center of interest for researchers working on surveillance systems (industries, shopping malls, educational institutions and hospitals etc. In this research work, a top view camera has been installed with a wide angle lens able to cover a wide area and more information for surveillance and visual monitoring purposes. Some of the common issues that are addressed in this research work are occlusion, sudden change in movement, tracking standstill body, abrupt change in direction, varying lightening conditions and differentiating a person from other objects. In this paper, different tracking algorithms are compared on a newly developed dataset using OpenCV. These algorithms are pre-implemented in the popular OpenCV library. The results and efficiency of these algorithms on a new data set are also discussed. In case of our houses, this concept can be aptly implemented to make this more smart and automated. Our IoT project focuses on building a smart wireless home automtion system which can be control remotely by the specific owner through Internet. Besides, the same can also be utilized for trespassers detection through a set of sensors. The leverage carried out by this system over similar kinds of existing systems that the status sent to the connected microcontroller managed system can be informed to the specific user on his phone from any remote location irrespective of whether his phone is connected to internet or not. The microcontroller used in the current prototype is a mcu node which comes with an embedded micro-controller and an onboard Wi-Fi shield making use of which all the connected electrical appliances inside that home can be controlled. A smart phone application called IFTT is used to connect the module and monitor the home appliances using different type of communication techniques.
