These devices and apps are used in every aspect of life, including one of the most important, like is health care. This paper presents the development and QoE evaluation of an application called “Take care your Heart”, designed to work on devices with iOS operative system embedded. This app is aimed to help people with heart problems, giving them some advice about some aspects of their disease, monitoring the doses of their medicines, saving different activities related to it and calculating their risk of suffering a cardiovascular accident. The general architecture used is exposed, as well as the specific architectures generated, shaped by the architectures: Client-Mobile Application, Client Communication, Mobile-Server Application, Sensor-Server Client, and the existing flow of user interaction. For this reason, it seems important to plan models and / or strategies to allow the older adult population to acquire and enhance digital competencies more easily. This article describes an innovative practice of Blended Learning Supported on a Learning Management System (LMS) whose aim is to enable older people developing digital skills through the using of multimedia teaching materials. The sample of older people was made of 53 Old Females (68 ± 7.61) and 28 Old Males (72.5 ± 7.27). 61 older adults participed in the face-to-face workshop on digital literacy and 20 participed in the blended workshop. Later, a Usability Test was summited to the adults who used the LMS. Starting from a sample of small Portuguese companies for a period from 2007 up to 2014 we analyze if the voluntary adoption of audit reduces the earnings management and therefore increases the earnings quality. The small companies can manipulate the earnings for example for reducing the income taxes to pay or to finance as also reducing the interest rate of those finance. The small companies are an important part of businesses, either in terms of employees and number. The voluntary audit is not very studied subject. The results suggest that the voluntary adoption of audit do not reduce the earnings management, and thus do not increase the earnings quality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of a logistics management system in a Portuguese hospital center, namely, its acceptance by users and its logistic impact. Logistics management plays a key role in making the desired products and services available, at the right time and place, ensuring greater efficiency for the organization to remain financially competitive and productive. While the principle holds true for all organizations, health care institutions have specificities that need to be taken into account. The computing advantages provided by this new technology have made it very popular in a massive amount of areas and one of them is health data management. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the state of the art on Hadoop and its ecosystem, as well as to determine how it is possible to use the strength of these technologies, not only to analyze health data but also to reveal hidden information that can explain medical records in a better way. To develop the model it used the Soft Systems Methodology and and for its validation and evaluation the integration of systems dynamics with the Integral Scorecard was applied. The contribution of the model was the incorporation of 30 unpublished indicators for the measurement of intellectual capital, which established the relation of these new indicators of knowledge with the traditional indicators of management of the basic processes of the office network. The proposed model allowed to demonstrate the contribution of knowledge as an intangible asset capable of generating competitive advantages for service offices in this area. However, many of the financial entities that provide such amounts do not have granting models that adapt to the specific characteristics of that market. Therefore, the development of granting models that are based on new institutional policies, which integrate quantitative and qualitative information designed exclusively to serve this sector of the population, is relevant. This article presents a methodology for the re-rate of credits from a database corresponding to a financial institution that is dedicated to the placement of resources effectively. Among the most used techniques to extract essential oils is distillation by water-steam drag, however to guarantee safety in terms of work accidents, and, in order to homogenize the quality of the extracted oil, there is evidence of the need for these processes to have an automatic temperature controller, which governs the process. Based on the previous problem, the objective of the present project is to develop an architecture for automatic regulation of temperature in processes of extraction of essential oils. As a result of the present project, a prototype temperature controller was implemented and its behavior was evaluated in a laboratory distiller.
