The female concept of “being-in-the-world” is an original version, in line with the current trend of literary studies, conducted for many years, and initiated or initiated on a larger scale in the 90s of the twentieth century. The presence of a woman or her “being-in-the world” defines female experiences, family, social and national roles, love, initiation, rebellious or personal relationships, and thus refers to mythical and stereotypical phenomena rooted in culture. The research time period corresponded to the first stage of the system transformation in Poland. It was initiated by the year in which the Round Table Talks were held and it ended with the adoption of the so-called “Small Constitution” in 1992. There were three detailed questions formulated: 1. How was feminism defined in the Polish women’s press? 2. How often was this topic subject to discussions? 3. Which determinant factors affected the image of feminism depicted by the editorial offices of the women’s press? Its reception was one of the components of the life of social groups and individual recipients who could become addicted to watching the message formulated by the aforementioned medium. The chronicle, which was part of the mass media system, had a direct impact on its recipients in the processes of socialization of education and self-education. PKF became and remains an interesting source of knowledge about the functioning of the People’s Republic of Poland. The magazines were linked by belonging to the women’s press segment, the issues they dealt with, a high readership rate, as well as the charisma and entrepreneurship of the editors – Ewa Łuszczuk-Marek and Anna Szymańska-Kwiatkowska. It was considered important to verify the competences, interests and writing activity of the editors during the editorial management period. The figure of doctor from Białystok specializing in pediatrics and neonatology. But on the other hand, it is an attempt to take a closer look at her socio-cultural activities, the efforts put into the process of improving the hygiene and health of women from the lowest social classes. However, most of all, it is supposed to be a kind of an unique journey into the female world of the interwar Białystok. An image which reflects, via the heroine, the headaches of everyday life of those days. Regardless of whether they affected single mothers, students of a female gymnasium or local prostitutes. In the margin of the main narration, the presented text also includes Białystok threads related to the prominent names of Polish literature. Controlled by censorship institutions, it was using various manipulative measures aimed at the appropriate transfer of information or coverage of political, social, sports and cultural events. The use of various types of linguistic persuasion mechanisms, the selection of an appropriate, emotionally marked vocabulary, suggestive portrayal of objects or events or the use of directives are just some of the means taken by the editorial team of the Chronicle. All this to cope with the task of combining contained in the circulars with the instructions of censorship guidelines, and at the same time making the reception of their film magazine for the average viewer something pleasant, useful and educating.
