The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were all high school students in West Bandung Regency, while the sample was 20 students of class XI in one of the high schools in West Bandung Regency. The results obtained from this study indicate that the percentage of indicators 3 chooses and applies strategies to solve mathematical problems or outside mathematics and indicator 4 explains or interprets the results according to the problem and checks the correctness of the results or answers, gets the lowest percentage with 60% and 31%. Then the students' mistakes in solving the problem of mathematical problem solving ability lies in the process of selecting and implementing a calculation strategy and students have not been able to elaborate on the strategies that will be carried out to carry out the next calculation. The results of research conducted by PISA explain the low mathematical ability of students in Indonesia when compared to other countries. Therefore, researchers will conduct research on students' mathematical critical thinking skills in one of the junior high schools in Karawang. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students in the subjects of relations and functions. Qualitative research with descriptive method is used in this study. The subjects in this study consisted of 6 students, namely 2 students in the high category, 2 students in the medium category, and 2 students in the low category. The data collection technique was obtained from a description of 5 questions with a processing time of 60 minutes which was used as a test instrument. The results showed that the mathematical critical thinking skills possessed by some students were still relatively low. Learning media is something that is needed in the learning process because it can provide a description of the facts of the mathematics material being taught, especially in the material of algebraic elements whose application is related to everyday life. Quizizz learning media can be used as a medium for evaluating learning outcomes and increasing student enthusiasm in learning. This research aims to determine the effect of Quizizz assisted learning media on student learning outcomes. The research subjects were students of class VII E and VII D Al Furqon MQ Junior High School Tebuireng-Jombang. The research instrument used a test sheet for learning outcomes of algebraic elements. The validity test of the instrument was through by expert validation. The data collection technique used test method. The data obtained were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis which included parametric statistical tests using the normality test, homogeneity test, and nonparametric statistical tests through the Mann-Withney test. The results showed that the sig. (2-tailed) = 0.154> α = 0.05.
