The measurement of the impact of intellectual capital management that is most widely used is developed by (Pulic, 1998), VAICTM (Value Added Intellectual Coefficient) to measure the extent to which the company generates an added value based on the efficiency of intellectual capital that is supported and influenced by the relationship between value-added to physical capital, human capital and structural capital. This research is causal research that aims to analyze the causal relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The independent variable in this study is intellectual capital as measured by the Value-Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAICTM) which is the sum of three influential resources, namely Value-Added Human Capital (VAHU), Value Added Capital Employee (VACA), and Structural Capital Value Added (STVA). The dependent variable in this study is the company's performance as measured by Return on Assets (ROA), company growth is measured by Growth Revenue, and company value is measured by Tobin's Q. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that intellectual capital has no significant positive effect on the company's financial performance. manufacturing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2019, because the manufacturing industry is included in the category of low-IC intensive industries (not dense intellectual capital) where operational activities are still dominated by the use of many fixed assets compared to intellectual capital and initial management of intellectual capital which is still considered as costs and have not shown results that affect the company's financial performance.","PeriodicalId":335379,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Indonesia Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"191 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132496277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This condition shows that business people ignore the spiritual factors in their activities. Therefore, it is a question of whether it is possible to combine business with spirituality so that business brings blessings to other people and their environment. The notion that business is contrary to religion has long been happening. Karl Mark considers that religion is an obstacle to economic development. However, Marx Weber's research proves that Protestantism in Europe and America can be a driver for the birth of capitalism. The modern economic theory finds that we will find saints, mystics, or Sufis in companies in the era of global markets. The business spiritual has taught that business is not just a matter of making money. However, there must be a balance between spiritual and material values and respect for the human condition of future generations. In Islam, the union of business with the spiritual is not new. This fact is very clearly exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. and his friends. The Prophet and the Companions did not separate business activities from spiritual values. A healthy business brings balance, as stated in Surah Ar-Rahman verses 7-9; the earth and sky were created in balance. Humans are prohibited from destroying the balance. In modern science, Elkington describes this balance in what is referred to as the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) between Profit, People, and Planet. To achieve the entire balance, Elkington's TBL in 3P (Profit, People, and Planet) must be added by 1 P, which is Prophet (Prophet). This Prophet guides business people to have spirituality, which is always their strength and awareness.","PeriodicalId":335379,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Indonesia Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132494862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data used are primary and secondary data, primary data obtained from interviews, and distributing questionnaires to zakat recipients of Rumah Zakat in Malang. While the secondary data was obtained from the results of the literature study. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling to obtain data following the research objectives. The results of this study are, first, the results found that zakat can improve the material and spiritual conditions of mustahik. Based on the CIBEST model, it has been found that there is an increase in the welfare index of mustahik by 42.5%. Second, zakat-based empowerment increases the condition of the mustahik HDI by 3.1%, which means that zakat has not been able to have a major influence on the mustahik HDI. Third, the zakat-based empowerment program can increase the mustahik's level of independence by 16.8%. This index shows that mustahik already has a permanent job or business and saves after obtaining empowerment. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that zakat-based empowerment can improve the welfare of mustahik. It is noted that the welfare of mustahik has increased by 21.6% from the previous condition.","PeriodicalId":335379,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Indonesia Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127004866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aimed to find out the Suluanos’ concept of development in terms of political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, and ecological aspects, including how these perceived barriers affect the development of Sulu. This research utilized the descriptive method where the Quantitative aspect gathered the data from 400 adults of ten big municipalities using a checklist questionnaire. The respondents were selected through systematic sampling. For the qualitative part, the collected data were from 90 participants through focus group discussions. The statistical tools used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and group means. The finding revealed that the Suluanos’ concept of development upheld the development policies which are participatory, equitable, appropriateness, concertizing, and environment friendly and the corresponding functions of development such as the political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, and ecological aspects. Of the five development functions, the economic aspect (2.95) was the main barrier to development. It is followed by the technological aspect (2.91), the political (2.79), and ecological (2.42) as the fourth rank. On the other hand, the socio-cultural part (2.21) was the least encountered barrier. The perceived barriers that affected the development of Sulu were related to lack of high ethical standards, transparency, accountability, effectiveness, and lack of respect for and commitment to social justice, human rights, environmental life protection, and people's empowerment. Based on the data gathered, the findings made the researcher conclude that the political, economic, technological, socio-cultural, and ecological aspects in Sulu were considered barriers to development. They were not within the bounds of good governance. Bureaucracy was weak due to the leaders' personalities, who were neither transactional nor transformational. At the same time, they were not within the context of the alternative model of development. To minimize if not eliminate the barriers to development, the government's efforts should be geared towards accountability to improve the quality of governance and dispensation of justice. Further studies are recommended to determine other predictors that can similarly evaluate the development conditions of Sulu Province.
