As a result of the textual analysis of V. I. Kalitvyansky’s plays “The Carrier”, V. V. Sigarev’s “Ladybugs Return to Earth”, E. A. Gremina’s “Sakhalin Wife”, the semantics of the existential dialogue of the inner and outer material world in various paradigms are revealed. So, the material world of the House in the play by V. I. Kalitvyansky demonstrates fidelity to the ideological guidelines developed by the House, making up a political dialogue of like-minded people; the dialogue between the House and the House in Sigarev’s drama merged into an emotional monologue of cemetery signs of death; in E. A. Gremina’s play, the existential dialogue House / House is based on an outright antithesis of worldviews, but not hostile, but reconciling a person with the environment and fate. Thus, the material world in the plays of postmodernists embodies the dialogical space of their semantic and emotional codes.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"25 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140972646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Shanyavsky while studying at the historical and philosophical department in 1913-1915. At that time, the term “thing” was used in law and philosophy, which was reflected in explanatory dictionaries and encyclopedias. Yesenin attended lectures mainly on literature, and in his subsequent work the word “thing” appears regularly, but only in journalism and letters. The term “thing” was widely used in criticism in the first quarter of the 20th century, and Yesenin’s friends recalled the poet’s use of this word in conversations. The purpose of this article is to analyze the items of the “clothing code” from an artistic and philosophical position in Yesenin’s poem “The White Zipun and the Scarlet Sash...”, understanding them as “things”. Conclusion. The zipun and the sash are folk festive clothing, with its regional names, they have a long tradition of reflecting them in fiction, and in Yesenin they emphasize the event time and the emotional experiences of the hero.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"134 42","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140977196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research material included both published and unpublished texts of Kalmyk fairy tales about animals in the original and translated into Russian, as well as legends and traditions. Despite the fact that when studying Kalmyk fairy tales about animals related to the genre, plot, composition, system of characters, and linguistic means, researchers touched upon such material culture to one degree or another, the objective world of such fairy tales did not become the object and subject of a separate study. Results. In representative Kalmyk tales about animals, object realities related to different spheres of material culture were found: types of housing and its decoration, non-residential buildings, tools and materials, household utensils, weapons and hunting tools, musical instruments, vehicles, etc. One of them is used by people and animals, others - only by people. Some objective realities are created by animals. In the plot collisions of fairy tales, things are used for one purpose or another by people and animals or only by people, while the same thing can have different functions, for example, attack and defense. In the only case, the thing is endowed with the magical ability of the donor. Some things reveal only the objective background against which certain events occur. Subject realities have both a universal and local, ethnic character.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"115 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140978212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

N. Tolstoy “The Death of Ivan Ilyich” as one of the ways of forming psychologism. The artistic world of the work, saturated with material details, on the one hand, characterizes the inner world of the hero, on the other hand, it becomes an active participant in the action, ultimately causing the death of Ivan Ilyich. The story presents a specific image of a house-grave, in contrast to a house - a place of strength, unity, harmony, as in earlier works (“War and Peace”, “Anna Karenina”). Ivan Ilyich’s home, furnished with excessive attention, is filled with a huge number of things that create a kind of “rebellion,” hasten the owner’s departure, make the last days unbearable, and even after his death, distract the attention of those who came to say goodbye. Things in the story appear as an integral part of life, taking away vitality from people who have chosen a soulless existence and become hostages of these very things and external gloss.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"69 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140971651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Introduction draws attention to the anthropological dominance of modern philological research. References to the writer’s archive, the rendition of the epistolary heritage both as a fact of their creative biography and as a historical and literary phenomenon is proposed. The theoretical part is devoted to the understanding of the most important approaches to the theory of genre, including writing as a special genre of documentary prose. The problem of research analysis and perception of letters is updated. The content and formal indicators of the genre are characterized. The analytical part is presented by a model of historical-functional analysis and interpretation of a letter to the editor. The attention is focused on its functional specificity. It is proved that the genre of a letter to the editor can be removed from the sphere of journalistic genres to a literary genre with its historical and literary significance. In the Conclusion a letter is presented as a separate genre in terms of its form and function; the main genre characteristics are given. It is emphasized that motivation, purposefulness, dialogism as genre signals allow a letter to the editor to be classified as a work of literature.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"43 25","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140975598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Function of the Thing in the Motif of the Path (based on the material of the Kalmyk fairy tale) 事物在路径图案中的作用(根据卡尔梅克童话材料改编)

When studying a thing, the main defining principle of it is the main property or function that it performs. Function is the basis for the systematics of things in research. Results. The analysis of the texts of Kalmyk fairy tales showed that when setting out on a journey, the characters take with them things that once accompanied a person at a funeral, the transition to another world. The length of the path in the fairy tale is conveyed through the description of iron, implying strength, objects that wear out by the end of the path. On the Kalmyk material, there is a case of adding a staff and shoes with other things made of iron (a three-layer shell from a boiler, a three-layer helmet from a flat-bottomed boiler). The material of the Kalmyk fairy tale provides an expansion of the number of iron objects, which, under the influence of fairy-tale tradition, along with a staff and shoes, also appear to be iron. When setting off on a long journey to another world, the wonderful spouse gives him a ball of threads, which performs a guiding function in the fairy tale and things-attributes (a golden comb, a yellow-mottled handkerchief and a golden ring) that have the function of identification. In the motif of the way, the Kalmyk fairy tale complements the magic carpet with two more objects and gives the trinity of these things one function — transport. When escaping from man-eating mousses, things are used that transform the fabulous space received from parents. The grindstone, the chopping block and the skimmer turn into insurmountable mountains and a dense forest. From his father, the hero, who sets off on a journey, also receives a sword, which is stealthily used by a magical assistant for its intended purpose and imperceptibly returned to the hero. The texts on the “Grateful Dead” plot type show that the hero, the begged son of wealthy parents or the khan’s son, sets off on a journey with gold and silver, money that has a stable associative connection with the “other” world. When considering the function of an item in the motif of the Kalmyk fairy tale path, universal objects (staff, shoes, food, money) used in traditional rites of passage by many peoples, including the Kalmyks, as well as a specific one borrowed from the culture of the Russian people — the clay pot buhsh, which is unconventional for the life of the Kalmyk people, are noted.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"68 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140971760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Collision with a Thing as a Collision with Other in G. Ayurzana’s Novel “Their Shadows are Taller Than Our Souls” G. Ayurzana 的小说 "他们的影子比我们的灵魂还高 "中与 "物 "的碰撞即是与 "他者 "的碰撞

Ayurzana (b. 1970), one of the most popular and read authors in modern Mongolia. His creative range is very wide: from postmodernism to magical realism, from psychological detective stories to historical novels. In 2021, G. Ayurzana’s new novel “Their Shadows are Taller than Our Souls” (“Тэдний сүүдэр бидний сэтгэлээс урт”) was released. This time the author turned to science fiction genre. In Mongolia, classic science fiction works by J. Verne, A. Tolstoy, A. Azimov, S. Lem, and Strugatsky brothers have been translated and are popular among readers. In modern Mongolian literature this genre begins to develop in the 1940s 20thcentury. Fantastic ones include L. Tudev’s story “Eternal Flame (”Мөнхийн гал”), J. Gal’s novel “The Secret of the Crystal Mirror”(“Болортолийн нууц”), D. Darzha’s novel “Journey to Distant Worlds”(“Алс холын ертөнцөд жуулчилсан нь”). The title of G. Ayurzana’s novel is a quote from the famous hit of the British rock band Led Zeppelin “Stairway to Heaven”, which appeared in the 1970s. This is a deep philosophical text by Robert Plant about the illusory nature of our world, about vain hopes and unrealistic expectations. The bird — a black jackdaw with a red beak — becomes the center of the narrative in the novel “Their Shadows are Taller than Our Souls.” This is due, among other things, to the mythopoetic tradition of the nomads of Central Asia, which endowed birds with special properties. The image of a talking paper bird is present in the famous surgaal teaching of the poet and religious educator of the 19th century D. Ravzha (1803–1856). However, does the main character encounter a bird on the first page of the novel? No, the hero of the novel meets not with a living bird, but with a cybernetic organism created back in 1984 at the dawn of the microprocessor era in one of the scientific laboratories of the Soviet Union. From the moment a microchip is implanted into the brain, the bird becomes a cyborg, a thing, something else. The author directly raises the problem of otherness in the real world. The hero’s encounter with this thing — the encounter with the other — plays a key role in the entire fantasy novel.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"61 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140976347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Poetics of Things in the Heroic Epic “Dzhangar” 英雄史诗《张格尔》中的事物诗学

{"title":"Poetics of Things in the Heroic Epic “Dzhangar”","authors":"Bayrta Mandzhievа","doi":"10.22162/2587-6503-2024-1-29-53-71","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22162/2587-6503-2024-1-29-53-71","url":null,"abstract":"Introduction. The article is devoted to the consideration of the poetics of things in the epic tradition of “Dzhangar” of the Kalmyks of Russia and the Oirats of Xinjiang. The image of the world of things that surround the heroes of the epic serves not only as a material background, they (objects, things) are necessary for the actions of the character and the expression of his individuality. The research material is the texts of the epic songs of the Xinjiang-Oirat and Kalmyk versions of “Dzhangar”. The purpose of the article is to consider the objective-material world in the heroic epic “Dzhangar”. Results. Consideration of the objective-material world in the Kalmyk and Xinjiang-Oirat versions of “Dzhangar” showed that in the lyrics a thing is one of the elements characterizing the image of a hero; in the depiction of an epic picture of the world, its heroes, characters, a thing acquires a symbolic meaning. The name of the epic country Bumba is associatively connected with a functioning object — a “treasure vessel”, the semantic field of which is its connecting link. The palace preserves the experience of the nomadic life of the Oirats and Kalmyks, their material way of life, as an objective reality of the epic space. The epic palace of Dzhangar, being a kind of field of attraction, gathers the heroic family at the banquet table, where the ruler of Bumba chooses the hero to go on a military campaign. The items of horse equipment and weapons of the hero in the epic “Dzhangar” are correlated with the objective realities with the help of which the hero moves in the epic space, undergoes difficult trials and achieves the goal of the military campaign. Things that are correlated with objects of material culture perform their main functions and are associated with the peculiarities of the worldview of the traditional culture of the Mongolian peoples.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"124 43","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140977639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Poetics of the Thing in M. Duras’s L’Amante Anglaise: From Evidence to Minus-device 杜拉斯(M. Duras)《L'Amante Anglaise》中的事物诗学:从证据到减法

Duras. In the framework of the analysis it is stated that the traditional for criminal plot function of a thing as a clue is absorbed here by another, less obvious and related to the search for the “right question” about the true reason of the murder. The “getting rid” of things as traces of their presence in the everyday, purely material world takes place both at the narrative and plot scales. Having lost its external instantiation, having retained only its name in a few lists, the object is actually swallowed up by the word, by speech. The detected singularities give a fuller picture of the correlation of M. Duras’s novel with the traditions of criminal literature and the French “new novel”, namely with one of its basic principles, the detailed depiction of things (le chosisme) beyond semantic and symbolic connections, as identical to themselves.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"63 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140972314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bazhov’s world of things as an aesthetic unity. The book of skaz (folk tales) of the Ural writer is a unique artistic world, the structure of which is defined by a system of several basic oppositions. It is a world extremely full of things, such as household items (people’s everyday lives), clothes (social status, the «us-them» divide), instruments and tools of craft (key topics of handicraft / craftsmanship) etc. A special role in this objective world is played by artisan products that combine the functions of a household item, an artefact and a magical object, and magical objects per se that are received from a donor but are usually different in function from their proper fairytale counterparts, which are common to the traditional Russian folklore and literary fairytales based on folklore stories. Bazhov’s system of images-things also includes a specific «human as a thing» category that is connected with the main conflicts of the book depicting serfdom-based mining civilization. Generally, the peculiarity of the world of things in «The Malachite Casket» is defined by the «borderline» nature of the skaz genre, its complex relationship with folklore and the unique character of Bazhov’s aesthetic experiment.","PeriodicalId":324856,"journal":{"name":"Бюллетень Калмыцкого научного центра Российской академии наук","volume":"80 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140976105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
