SLE affects different systems in the body,such as cardiac, renal, respiratory, hematology,neurology, and rheumatology. It can cause variousproblems in the heart, lungs, and joints. This Systemicreview researched articles from 3 databases: PubMed,Google Scholar, and PubMed Central in June 2022. Wedid this systemic review using Prisma guidelines. Wecollected this systemic review in the last five years. Freefull articles randomized controlled trial (RCT), systemicreview articles, and English language included. Otherlanguages and articles earlier than 2017. Joanna BriggsInstitute (JBI) checklist, Assessment of MultipleSystemic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR), and Scale for theAssessment of Multiple Systemic Reviews 2 (SANRA)are used to check for quality assessment. In thesystemic review, the initial search generated 516articles. They included 13 in the final selection; six werecase reports, two were systemic reviews, three of themretrospective studies, and two were literature reviews.In this Systemic review, we will focus on the cardiacmanifestations associated with systemic lupuserythematosus and use Hydroxychloroquine to preventthe deterioration of systemic lupus erythematosus anddecrease the incidence rate cardiac problems. Itdiscovered a decrease in the incidence rate of cardiacmanifestations. It found that hydroxychloroquine iseffective in the treatment of systemic lupuserythematosus patients. Not only that, but they foundthat Hydroxychloroquine effectively treats systemiclupus erythematosus patients and limits cardiac riskfactors. We need further studies and research tounderstand the effect of systemic lupus erythematosuson the cardiac system and the effects ofHydroxychloroquine on decreasing the impact ofsystemic lupus erythematosus on the heart.","PeriodicalId":315163,"journal":{"name":"Journal For International Medical Graduates","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123667858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research on meningiomas has shown an association with hormone receptor expression, but the underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms remain unclear. This systematic review presents the available information on the role of progesterone and estrogen in meningioma’s pathogenesis, prognosis, and treatment. The study used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systemic Review and MetaAnalysis (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. The authors searched and downloaded relevant published articles from the following databases; PubMed, PubMed Central (PMC), MEDLINE, the Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. The downloaded articles were screened using set eligibility criteria and appropriate quality appraisal tools and subsequently relevant data was extracted using standardized questionnaires. Based on the papers reviewed, progesterone receptor expression in meningioma is associated with significantly more favourable prognostic factors and treatment outcomes while a negative correlation exists between overall survival and the presence of estrogen receptors. In conclusion, analysing hormone receptor expression in meningioma appears necessary for targeted hormonal and endocrine therapy. A suitable reference population must also be defined in future extensive prospective multi-centre and multi-national clinical studies","PeriodicalId":315163,"journal":{"name":"Journal For International Medical Graduates","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126651917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

CDI is associated with high morbidity, mortality,and healthcare costs. The administration of probiotics isa promising strategy for the prevention of AAD and CDI,as they can create a favorable gut environment andalter the composition of the intestinal flora. Thissystematic review evaluated the use of probiotics inpreventing CDI in hospitalized adult patients. Thereview of 12 randomized controlled trials involving3,586 patients found that probiotics reduced theincidence of CDI in hospitalized adult patients by up to70%. Specifically, the probiotic strains Lactobacillusrhamnosus GG and Saccharomyces boulardii werefound to be effective in preventing CDI. However,further research is needed to establish optimal dosingregimens and to identify the most effective probioticstrains for CDI prevention. Nonetheless, the use ofprobiotics appears to be a promising strategy forreducing the incidence of CDI in hospitalized adultpatients receiving antibiotics.","PeriodicalId":315163,"journal":{"name":"Journal For International Medical Graduates","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114688834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
