First the qLPV model of the system is presented. Then the TP model transformation on the qLPV model is executed in order to obtain CNO (close to normal) convex form. This paper proves that the pneumatic model can exactly be represented by TP model type polytopic form with minimum 81 vertices.","PeriodicalId":306051,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 8th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129048452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although the structure of these models is a priori known, model parameters should be estimated based on experiments. The accuracy of the estimated parameters largely depends on the information content of the experimental data presented to the parameter identification algorithm. Optimal Experiment Design (OED) can maximize the confidence on the model parameters. Considering that OED is an iterative process, it may happen that the designed experiment contains segments which are not or less useful for parameter identification. Using the tools of the OED there is the opportunity to qualify the segments of the time-series of different data sets. After the segmentation, it will be possible to choose the most appropriate segments for identification of each parameter, i.e. to determine the parameters as accurate as possible.","PeriodicalId":306051,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 8th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123492565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quick development of hardware and software resources needs frequent revising of concepts and methods for the application of computers at teaching and learning processes. The authors of this paper joined to efforts for creating concepts and method for the practical application of known higher university course concepts and theories. They discussed practical orientation of course model proposals in their earlier works. In this paper, they introduce some key issues in computer modeling of higher education courses considering recent demands and structures. Basic functionality of an Internet based and computer processed virtual classroom is outlined in which academic functionality organizes and coordinates other functionalities. Following this, definition and application sides of course description related activities are introduced and handling of inside and outside relationship definitions in a course model is explained. Next, definition of course description is explained starting from the definition of elements and course patterns and modeling procedures and processes are discussed. Finally, possibility for the integration of the proposed new course and current industrial product modeling is noticed.","PeriodicalId":306051,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 8th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127157468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, a major drawback of OFDMA which largely limited its application in the real environment is large envelope fluctuation which results in strong nonlinear distortion due to the nonlinear characteristic of power amplifier (PA). One possible solution to tackle this problem has been introduced by the the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) consortium. This solution is based on spreading the base-band modulated signal before the application of OFDMA by using Discrete Fourier Transformation (DFT) that leads eventually to lower envelope fluctuation in comparison with that of OFDMA. The presented method is widely recognized as Single Frequency Division Multiplex (SC-FDMA). This paper aims to provide general comparison of both conventional OFDMA and SC-FDMA and draws important conclusions from this comparison.","PeriodicalId":306051,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 8th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114496109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reduction of the CO2 emission, the lowest external cost solution is not the short term cheapest solution. Both problems can solve the graph cut segmentation with elliptical shape prior. Interactive control is necessary in the training phase of system as well as in a critical situation requiring the human intervention. Bi-elliptical shape prior model corresponds to the anatomy of animals and improves the precision of tracking. However, most of the tasks require only a portion of human sensory skills, typically - besides visual information - kinesthetic, haptic and tactile force-feedback. But realizing teleoperators providing transparent force-feedback over a long distance is still a challenge because of the low bandwidth, varying network delay and the probably unknown remote environment. Therefore, the senses that are not necessary for controlling the process should be used to support the operator to enhance or substitute the force feedback. In system status sensualization the goal is to provide an interpretation of sensory information that can be easily and effectively perceived by the operator. However, traditional analogous or digital instrumentation requires that the operator directs his sight right to the instrument to read the values. Furthermore, these values are usually important only if they are in an abnormal state. In case of a quite complex system (an airplane or a power plant) this process is very time-consuming and often needs several operators. In this paper we propose new visualization methods using peripheral vision to transmit visual information matched to the capabilities of the human visual system. The novel method could be applied for both sensory substitution and system status sensualization. The theoretical background of this work is a mathematical model of the human photopic contrast sensitivity proposed by the authors in a previous work. The novel visualization methods are analyzed experimentally via comparative tests.","PeriodicalId":306051,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE 8th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131999606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
