This review provides information about novel and traditional immunological, cellular, biochemical and other markers of human semen, which are used in the complex laboratory diagnostics of male infertility. Unfortunately, at present, due to the lack of updated clinical guidelines for male and female infertility diagnostics, uninformative algorithms and incompatible assessment criteria are increasingly used. This situation leads to controversial discussions, where the diagnostic functions of laboratory tests and markers are questioned. That is why the constant search is needed for innovative diagnostic approaches aimed at in-depth study of the pathogenesis of male infertility and subfertility.","PeriodicalId":287737,"journal":{"name":"Laboratornaya i klinicheskaya meditsina. But the timely and correct diagnostics by non-invasive technologies is still difficult. The clinical case clarifies the innovative techniques by Sperm.\u0000Sediment Cytology (SSC) as the non-invasive diagnostic approach resulting in excellent tumor cells detection. Nowadays, a sample “semen” and “sperm sediment” take a key role in examination and management of the subfertile couple. The advantages of sample “semen” such as non-invasive painless procedure as well as the wider range of diagnostic findings by number of methods (cytology, molecular and cultural) highlight the increasly importance of this diagnostic approach in comparison with conventional ones – prostate secretion and urethral scraping which obtained by invasive procedures – by massage and damaging a mucus membrane, respectively.\u0000According to the Russian register this review also presents the current situation with the work list of kits and devices for assessment of male infertility and inflammatory of male accessory glands.","PeriodicalId":287737,"journal":{"name":"Laboratornaya i klinicheskaya meditsina. Changes in the vascular membrane of the eye can not always be differentiated without mistakes from malignance. The miss-diagnostics of choroidal melanoma can lead to incorrect and aggressive treatment [2].\u0000The clinical report shows the absence of positive dynamics in choroiditis in a patient in the COVID-19 convalescence which allowed the suspicion a tumor. The result of cytological examination indicated a neoplasm of melanocytic in origin which was an indication for enucleation. In the laboratory settings the role of cytological examination is very important for diagnostic of choroidal melanoma. Such approach together with histological examination presents as best diagnostics pathway of choroidal melanoma.
