The quantitative analysis of spatial relations among structures is useful for medical diagnosis. This work describes a visualization system that provides interactive measurement tools. MRI images acquired from a phantom were used to increase system accuracy.","PeriodicalId":286814,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. This algorithm transforms the input image into a directed graph which is constructed through several defined rules. The graph characteristics represent the global shape information of the object inside the input image, and are extracted during graph construction. This strategy prevents the postprocessing traversing to the graph, with consequent improvement of computational time. The algorithm was tested over a specific database, and the experiments were conducted to show its performance in the light of two types of problem: object class recognition and similar image retrieval.","PeriodicalId":286814,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. In this environment participants may work in different parts of the space and have distinct perspective viewing of the space. Maintaining workspace awareness, therefore, becomes much more difficult. In this paper we present graphics solutions we adopted for enhancing 3D workspace awareness in CoMo. We reused several individual awareness mechanisms provided by the MTK graphics library designed for single-user applications. An appropriate communication and distribution platform for coordinating individual actions was devised. The main contribution of this paper is to show how group awareness can be implemented by adequately reusing existing individual awareness facilities.","PeriodicalId":286814,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. H-S images are to be input into a system capable of recognizing the presence of a refractive error and outputting a measurement of such an error. Because the H-S technique provides images rich with information on the human eye, we believe this system may provide a framework that can be extended to obtain additional information on the health of imaged ocular globes.","PeriodicalId":286814,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings.
