The staffs have the ability to speed up their service efficiency if two orders are similar to each other. (ii) Unique learning effects. The subsequently served order may have a processing time reduction due to the multitasking ability of designers. The considered problem can be seen as a parallel-machine scheduling problem with multitasking and learning effects. For the problem, a mixed integer programming model is formulated to minimize the total tardiness of customized orders. Note that this is the first model for the personalized customization background. Experimental results on 90 randomly generated instances show that the effectiveness and validity of the proposed solution method. In order to respond to the dynamically changing requirements, Information and communication systems integrated first the virtualization of servers and storage and then gradually the advances in Software-Defined Networking technology. However, the benefits of these solutions are even greater when they are optimized especially by preventing the occurrence of bottlenecks and increasing utilization of available resources. In this work, we deal with the performance analysis of virtual switch which is a key component of these solutions. A markovian queuing model with finite buffer is proposed for the performance to analysis virtual switch performance. It is assumed that packets arrive at the system in batches, but served one by one. The interactions between queues are manifested by using server vacation and polling strategy. Subsequently, we analyze the packet forwarding performance, such as average packet sojourn time and blocking probability with queuing theory and solve it by using quasi-birth death process. Motivated by the former operations, we extend the the original model considering that some job are uninterrupted job. We introduce some definitions that is typically used for scheduling in the multitasking environment. Our objective is to minimise weighted tardiness, earliness and common due date, we devise a mixed integer programme. We give some basic lemmas and properties to solve the problem, provide a solution algorithm for a case of the problem. Its buffer parametrization is done by a dynamic adjustment considering the demand evolution, but not the workshop state. Several papers deal with lead time variability and take into account its variations in the parametrization of traditional material management methods such as Material Requirements Planning and pull flow systems. This paper considers lead time variability and proposes a dynamical adjustment of the decoupled lead time of the DDMRP. When applying it to a modified flow shop with a competence bottleneck, results show that the dynamic adjustment of the buffer sizes reduces stocks, while assuring a decent service level. Consequently, when designing a manufacturing system, managers are interested in facility layouts that favor performance objectives, while avoiding excessive fatigue. Unfortunately, most existing studies related to layout design focus on technical aspects of the considered system (e.g. flow costs, distance between machines, etc.) so that human factors, in particular fatigue, are insufficiently taken into consideration. Therefore, we are interested in how the workers’ fatigue can be taken into account when evaluating possible layout designs. We analyze the factors that induce fatigue, which are mainly concerned with the work arduousness, and depend on the layout. We explain how they can be considered in order to compare possible solutions of a layout problem. In such a context, emphasis is put on the role of simulation. We illustrate our purpose and highlight the importance of taking fatigue into consideration through a comparison, using simulation, of two different layouts of a job-shop system. How to optimize these facilities is the major decision-making problems faced by urban administrative departments. In this paper, three scenarios, which are considered. We present three strategies to deal with this problem, which are redundant deletion, garbage bin redistribution and system reconstruction respectively. And then, according to the redundant quantity of the regional integration, waste collection centers, three corresponding mathematical models are firstly designed. Furthermore, the Voronoi technology and the clustering algorithm are applied to handle these models. To promote the system, the problem aims at maximizing the service quality via optimal decision of locating the bike stations and design travel route for bike users. The service quality is evaluated by the satisfaction function which reflects the travel time of the bike journey. Then an integer programming model is formulated for the BSLP. To validate the proposed model, a commercial IP solver CPLEX is applied for solving it in extensive experiments. Computational results on sensitive analysis of parameters justify the correctness and effectiveness of the model. Medium-term extraction programming consists in deciding the assignment of the available machines over time. This problem is addressed through Discrete Event Simulation implemented in a phosphate mine, taking into account all the extraction constraints to drive the extraction process. This combines an effectiveness criterion (degree of urgency of obtaining certain ore qualities) and an efficiency criterion (machine displacements). While the parameterization used to control simulation quickly produces many technically feasible scenarios, making the final optimal choice is extremely difficult, particularly as one needs to take into account time considerations in extracted ore progressive provisioning and machine use. Our paper describes the bases of a visual decision-support system (DSS), currently under development, which enables the processing of results to compare multiple scenarios and adjust parameterization in order to come up with a good solution. Based on the listed companies in ChiNext market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China between 2009 and 2011, this paper examines the impact of venture capital firms’ co-investment behavior on investees’ fundraising capacity in IPO Markets. Empirical results show that co-investment behavior of venture capital firms indeed enhance the investee’s fundraising capacity, however, the number of venture capital firms introduced by it is not the more, the better, if the entrepreneur wants to raise more capital in IPO markets. The optimal choice for the company is to introduce four venture capital firms in order to raise larger amounts of capital in the IPO process. In order to maximize the firm’s profit, the mixed integer optimization models with time constraints are proposed under carbon trading mechanism. The models are solved by Lingo11.0 to obtain the optimal production and distribution quantities under three production modes, i.e., MTS (Make to Stock), MTO (Make to Order, and partially delayed mode. Finally, numerical experiments are provided to compare the optimal production-distribution policies under the three production modes.
