In particular, response to under-frequencies requires the existence of a power headroom or energy storage support. In this paper, dedicated reference inverters to estimate the maximum available power are used and a control structure that accounts for irradiance conditions across the PVPP is introduced. Such control allows the sustainment of a specified power reserve in the plant. Usually, non-uniform irradiance conditions in the area of the power plant are not considered in spite of their relevance, reason why the simulations are conducted with real irradiance data, having a measurement available for each control area of the PVPP.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126894755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Increasing moment limitations are expected to keep exposing distinct state probability for single and many server queues with new information theoretic distributional structures. In this setting, the stationary queue length distributions (QLDs) of the queues-specifically, the generalized discrete Half Normal (GdHN) distributions-are more precisely inferred. The underlying service time distribution function and the cumulative service time distribution function both describe the M/GE/1 queue with balking (by balking, we mean the situation when customers refuse to join a queue) bearing the GdHN ME. Significant applications of queuing theory have been demonstrated to reveal the potential role of queueing techniques to energy works and other related fields. Fundamentally, the sky is open for revolutionary advancements by employing novel emerging queueing techniques in energy works and many unexplored disciplines.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126465546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the control scheme has a significant role on the efficiency and reliability of DFIG-based WEC system, we aim to propose the RSA tuned PID controller as the most efficient approach to operate this system. To demonstrate the efficiency and reliability of the proposed design method, previously reported design schemes such as gravitational search algorithm, bacterial foraging optimization and particle swarm optimization based PID controller approaches were used for comparisons. The obtained results showed that the proposed reptile search algorithm tuned PID controller with 6th order transfer function model of doubly fed induction generator enhances the transient performance considerably compared to other reported design approaches for wind energy conversion system.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126497816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the fatty acid distribution of the raw material used in biodiesel production remains almost the same during the transesterification reaction, the biodiesel raw material has a critical effect on the fuel properties of the obtained biodiesel. Therefore, the Physico-chemical properties of biodiesel fuels produced from different raw materials will be different. Among many different fuel properties, one of the most critical is the cetane number of the fuel. The cetane number, which directly affects all engine properties and is one of the most critical chemical properties of diesel/biodiesel fuels, is an important indicator of the flammability of the fuel. Ignition delay time, which can be defined as the time interval between the start of fuel injection and the start of combustion, decreases with increasing cetane number, thus limiting the rapid increase in in-cylinder pressure and temperature values. The cetane number of a fuel is measured using a cetane engine. However, since the cetane motor is a very expensive device and the determination of the cetane number is time-consuming, it can only be used in a very limited number of research centers. Instead of the cetane number, the cetane index can be calculated with a negligible margin of error. The cetane index of a fuel is an alternative parameter to the traditional cetane number used to characterize different types of diesel fuel. In this experimental study; 11 different biodiesel fuels were produced from safflower oil, sunflower oil, hazelnut oil, rapeseed oil, corn oil, palm oil, cottonseed oil, soybean oil, olive oil, waste frying oil, and algae oil, and Calculated Carbon Aromaticity Index (CCAI) depending on the cetane index of these fuels. The) change was taken into account.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126052189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Servo motor control system requires parameter identification due to aging, parameter changes, and mechanical components for driving the reliability and performance of PMSMs. Regarding industrial applications, model-based prediction algorithms are generally expected to be developed. The most important reason is that complex mathematical operations and advanced digital filters are unsuitable for low-cost processors. In this study, all motor parameters (stator resistance, stator inductance, flux linkage, viscous friction, and inertia) are identified using the RLS method as offline. The proposed parameter estimation method for PMSM has been implemented by using the RLS algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115039248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, called HVAC, are controlled in various ways, allowing the temperature and ventilation of the environment to be adjusted. In this study, a fuzzy inference and machine learning based HVAC control system is proposed that is aware of the condition change and automatically adjusts the optimal conditions for the building occupants. The proposed system consists of two subsystems: ventilation and temperature control. The ventilation system uses a Random Forest algorithm that estimates the air quality index to provide fresh air. In the temperature control system, Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System with four inputs and one output is used. Results indicate that the designed system exhibits satisfactory results in the simulation environment. With the proposed system, it is aimed to reduce the energy consumption of HVAC systems and to increase the thermal comfort of the individuals living in the building.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"325 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115422442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is crucial to know how much electricity is needed for the future as it has a remarkable impact on economic circumstances. This article proposes four productive methods in order to forecast high-precision results. In the regression algorithms, it is used several methods which are called decision tree regressions, random forest regression, gradient boosting regression, and linear regression algorithms. The dataset is divided into three parts. Training, validation, and test are split into %70, %10, and %20 respectively. The empirical and efficient results show that these methods can be used and reduce errors. The article demonstrates that a novel forecasting model can be designed for the future.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116365936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed method is obtained by calculating it by utilizing the single diode circuit of the PV module, while measuring the open circuit voltage (Voc) by interrupting the power of other open circuit voltage methods. Vmpp is obtained by multiplying the obtained Voc voltage with the coefficient. The voltage variation (E) is obtained by the subtraction between the panel voltage (Vpv) and the Vmpp voltage. It is applied as an input to the PI controller by multiplying the Ki factor to limit the voltage variation (E). The PI Controller generates the required duty cycle for the DC-DC converter. The most important advantage of this method is acquaring open circuit voltage without power interruption. The proposed method operated effectively at different radiation and temperature values. As a result, undesirable faults such as harmonics, current-voltage imbalance, and voltage collapse occur. Currently, fault indicator devices (FID) are used to detect faults, but since FIDs only measure current and temperature parameters, additional devices are needed for fault detection. Power quality devices (PQD) are the most used devices together with FID. The use of different devices in the field leads to cost and complexity in data analysis. With this study, product parameters including FID and PQD features and extra environmental sensors in the YEDAŞ region were determined and realized. The product incorporating these features is named “Grid Sense”.","PeriodicalId":280565,"journal":{"name":"2022 Global Energy Conference (GEC)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133116352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thermal aging models provided by the laws of Arrhenius and Montsinger are used to establish adjusted life expectancies for varying load percentages. The conductor's temperatures are approximated in dependency of its respective ampacity. By correlating adjusted life expectancies and initial investment costs, an annual deduction can be determined.
