The data sources were 10 online appreciation portals including Bacapetra.co, Kurung Buka, Buruan, Labrak, Metafor.id, Digital Madrasah, Lensastra.id, Ngewiyak.com, and Balairungpress. The results of the study show (1) the dominant sensitivity topic is about social issues regarding tensions between those who dominate and ordinary people, gender tensions, and economic problems; (2) the text structure consists of opening paragraphs, connecting paragraphs, and closing paragraphs; (3) cohesiveness building elements in the form of grammatical cohesion, namely reference, substitution, deletion, and conjunctions and lexical cohesion, namely repetition, synonymy, collocation, hyponymy, antonym, and equivalence; (4) the text in the relevant online portal is used as learning material for 11th-grade high school students, especially in phase F of the Independent Curriculum. Learning Outcomes of Reading and Viewing Elements with TPACK-based learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan topik, struktur wacana, unsur pembangun kohesivitas, dan pemanfaatannya sebagai materi ajar di sekolah menengah atas. Sumber data penelitian berupa 10 portal apresiasi online antara lain Bacapetra.co, Kurung Buka, Buruan, Labrak, Metafor.id, Madrasah Digital, Lensasastra.id, Ngewiyak.com, dan Balairungpress. This research uses analysis of language structure and argumentation structure. The data source for this study was a collection of writings by Thai students at IAIN Kediri. Data collection was done by reading carefully and repeatedly. The data analysis used was content analysis of text structure and argument structure and the method used was descriptive qualitative research. The study results show that the characteristics of Indonesian written discourse among Thai students at IAIN Kediri include linguistic structure and argument or reasoning structures. These two structures cannot be separated from one another because they have a binding elemental relationship between form and meaning. This research can be a guideline, especially for BIPA learning in improving writing skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali karakteristik pemikiran dalam wacana tulis yang ditandai adanya argumen-argumen yang dapat dipertahankan ketepatan dan kebenarannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian analisis struktur bahasa dan struktur argumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kumpulan tulisan mahasiswa Thailand di IAIN Kediri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara membaca saksama dan berulang-ulang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi struktur teks dan struktur argumen dan metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik wacana tulis bahasa Indonesia pada mahasiswa Thailand di IAIN Kediri meliputi struktur kebahasaan dan struktur argumen atau penalaran. Kedua struktur ini tidak bisa dipisahkan satu sama lain karena memiliki hubungan unsur yang mengikat antara bentuk dan makna. Subyek penelitian adalah 14 mahasiswa yang berasal dari Sarawak, Malaysia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi selama kegiatan di Program BIPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa menemukan kesulitan dalam memahami teks bahasa Indonesia karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang topik pelajaran, kurangnya kosa kata, dan masalah dalam mengolah informasi setelah membaca dan penggunaan strategi membaca yang tidak memadai dalam proses pembelajaran. Implikasi dari penelitian ini, isi mata pelajaran BIPA bahasa Indonesia perlu diperluas secara terus-menerus dalam pengembangan kurikulum BIPA berdasarkan kesulitan siswa dan budaya lokal. This research aims to determine the difficulties of foreign students in understanding reading texts in the Indonesian language teaching program for foreign students (BIPA) at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The research subjects were 14 students from Sarawak, Malaysia. The data collection techniques used were tests, observations, interviews and documentation during activities in the BIPA Program. The research results show that students find difficulties in understanding Indonesian texts due to lack of knowledge about lesson topics, lack of vocabulary, and problems in processing information after reading and inadequate use of reading strategies in the learning process. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research samples are class IXB and IXE. The research findings showed (1) the persuasive speech text writing skills of students taught by the ARCS model were higher than students taught by the conventional model for both students with high learning motivation and low learning motivation; and (2) there is an interaction between the ARCS model and learning motivation in influencing persuasive speech text writing skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menjelaskan pengaruh model ARCS Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction ) dan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap keterampilan menulis; (2) menjelaskan pengaruh model ARCS terhadap keterampilan menulis untuk siswa yang bermotivasi belajar tinggi; (3) menjelaskan pengaruh model ARCS terhadap keterampilan menulis untuk siswa yang bermotivasi belajar rendah; dan (4) menjelaskan interaksi antara model pembelajaran ARCS dengan motivasi belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas IXB dan IXE. The data in this research are phatic discourses as units filling conversational/interactive discourse. Data collection was centered in Magelang. Data collection was carried out through non-participant observation techniques involving 22 respondents. During the data collection process, the researcher also conducted recording, notation, and translation. The analytical methods used in this research are referential equivalence, pragmatic equivalence, and distributional methods. Based on the research, in terms of form, phatic discourse is constructed with sentence-forming elements of news, questions, and commands. This proves that phatic discourse can be used in all modes of communication, whether declarative, interrogative, or imperative. However, pure phatic discourse with sentence-forming elements of commands was not found in its usage. In Javanese social interaction, phatic discourse is present and used as words that do not convey meaning but serve a social function. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk formal atau wujud wacana fatis dalam struktur wacana percakapan di kalangan masyarakat Jawa. Data dalam penelitian ini ialah wacana fatis sebagai satuan pengisi wacana percakapan/interaktif. Latar pengambilan data dipusatkan di Magelang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi nonpartisipan yang melibatkan 22 responden. Selama pengumpulan data berlangsung, peneliti juga juga melakukan perekaman, pencatatan, dan pentranslasian. Metode analisis yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode padan referensial, padan pragmatis, metode agih. Berdasakan penelitian, dari segi bentuk, wacana fatis dikonstruksi dengan unsur pembentuk kalimat berita, tanya, dan suruh. Hal ini membuktikan wacana fatis dapat digunakan pada semua modus komunikasi, baik deklaratif, interogatif, dan imperatif. Namun demikian, wacana fatis dengan unsur pembentuk kalimat suruh murni tidak ditemukan penggunannya.
