Worldwide, a large number of women become at risk of conception after discontinuation of contraception. The purpose of this study was to determine the reasons for discontinuation and the factors that influence the discontinuation of long-term contraceptive methods. The research method used is a literature review with article searches using four databases consisting of Pubmed, Sage, Science Direct and Proquest with a publication range of 2012-2022. The keywords used are associated factor and discontinuation of long acting reversible contraception. The findings indicate that the factors that influence the long-term discontinuation of contraceptive methods are marital status, education, counseling, age, parity, occupation, contraceptive satisfaction, partner support, duration to health facilities, desire to get pregnant again and side effects. The most common reason for discontinuing a long-term contraceptive method is due to health problems or side effects. Therefore, health workers should properly advise women about the common side effects of using long-term contraceptive methods and how to manage these side effects. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":273270,"journal":{"name":"Science Midwifery","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128859109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Midwives are one of the health workers who have an important position in reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Midwives provide continuous and comprehensive midwifery services, focusing on aspects of prevention, promotion based on partnerships and community empowerment together. Complementary traditional health services are the application of traditional health that utilizes biomedical and biocultural sciences. Activity Purpose To increase the knowledge/understanding and skills of midwifery majors alumni of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh on Complementary Acupressure Therapy For Excellent Midwife in Entrepreneurial Development for Alumni. The dedication method used in this activity is education, training and assistance in increasing the knowledge and abilities of alumni about complementary acupressure therapy for excellent midwife. The results of the dedication show that the provision of education about complementary acupressure therapy increases the alumni's knowledge about complementary acupressure therapy. The average alumni knowledge during the pre-test, which was around 51.81% of the number of questions answered correctly by alumni, experienced a change for the better after the post-test to around 95.45%. This community service activity ran smoothly, starting from the training activities and continuing with alumni assistance activities in providing acupressure therapy. One of the causes of low breastfeeding is experiencing non-smooth milk expenditure which causes anxiety for the mother. One effort that can be used to increase milk production is using the acupressure technique. The method used for individual assistance is to make home visits to postpartum mothers who experience non-fluent breastfeeding. The activity begins with an assessment of mothers' perceptions about breastfeeding, counseling about the breastfeeding process and teaching acupressure to increase milk production. The results of the activity after providing assistance 2-5 times to 10 postpartum mothers, 100% experienced smooth breastfeeding. as many as 6 people (60%) experienced smooth breastfeeding on the third day, 30 percent on the fourth day and the last 10 percent on the fifth day. This study aims to determine the efficiency of the electrocoagulation method in reducing the parameters BOD, COD, ammonia, and chromium. A sample of 100 liters of leather tanning waste water used is put into a grease trap and flowed into an electrocoagulation bath in which electrodes (3 cathodes and 3 anodes) have been arranged. The electrocoagulation process lasted for 60 minutes. Parameters of wastewater quality examined include BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), ammonia, and total chromium. The method for measuring the quality parameters of tannery wastewater uses the appropriate Indonesian National Standards. The results of the measurements will be analyzed descriptively by comparing the results with the standards of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2014 concerning Quality Standards for Tannery Wastewater. After the electrocoagulation process is complete, then the effectiveness is calculated in percent (%). The effectiveness of the electrocoagulation process in reducing the levels of parameters from the highest percentage was total chromium (62.01%); COD (58.29%); BOD (52.52%); and ammonia (42.79%).
